As part of League of Legends’ 10-year anniversary celebrations, it was announced that a major rework of the current classes and champions in Teamfight Tactics would be on its way for Patch 9.22.
Riot have now revealed that players will be able to try their hands at the new Set 2 champions and class system on the Public Beta Environment (PBE) servers ahead of time and shared the date for the major update.
In a blog post made by Riot Games’ design director, Meddler, they shared that the new set of champions and classes titled ‘Rise of the Elements’ will be available for players to experience early on October 22 on PBE.
The developer also explained that the major Teamfight Tactics update is currently planned to go live on all servers for patch 9.22, whereas the Summoner’s Rift changes would be expected during a later patch.
“Next Tuesday should be an enormous PBE update as both the preseason changes and TFT Set 2 go out. The plan is that TFT set 2 will then go live in 9.22 while preseason will soak for another patch to get more testing and go live in 9.23.”
