A ‘Blitz mode’ is exactly what Apex Legends needs

Respawn Entertainment hasn’t yet added a fresh set of playlists to Apex Legends, but there certainly seems to be a growing demand for them from fans.

As is the case with many battle royale games, such as Fortnite Battle Royale, PUBG and others, the mid-game can tend to be a slow paced (some would say boring) period in many matches.

However, a brand new ‘Blitz mode’ concept has been created by a member of the game’s online community and it might just fix the problem.

Respawn EntertainmentSome Apex Legends fans would prefer to see more playlists, instead of more new characters.

The idea, which was posted to the Apex Legends subreddit by SmexyMillz, would change the speed of matches drastically and may prove to be a popular idea with other fans.

“I believe this game should have a blitz mode playlist where the circle is smaller, only blue shields and above, with p2020 and Mozambique removed from the playlist,” the user posted.

“I’m surprised new playlists haven’t been dropped yet,” the Redditor continued. “They could get away with not dropping any characters for a minute if they kept dropping wavey playlists.”

Millz is not the only Apex Legends player that is surprised that new playlists haven’t been introduced to the battle royale game yet, and also suggested that the storm would do more damage to players in their Blitz mode, as well as Ultimate times being increased.

The game might well have attracted over 50 million players since it first launched on February 4, but its developer might be pressured into upping their game with new content and playlists of this kind in order to keep up with other competitors in the BR market.

Will new playlists be added in the future? We’ll have to wait and see.
