The Wuthering Waves Version 1.1 update introduces brand-new content and several system changes to the game. Here is what we know about it including the release date, new characters, weapons, and more.
Wuthering Waves Version 1.1 continues the story from where it left off in Version 1.0. In this new version, Rovers will join hands with Jinhsi and Changli and explore a brand new region with them. While doing that, they will face new threats and a divine beast who will push Rovers to their limits.
In addition, players will also be able to pull for the new characters through the gacha along with their respective weapons. There will be new events to take part in as well to unlock Astrite and other rewards. Finally, the developers are making several system changes that will make the overall experience better.

Wuthering Waves Version 1.1, Thaw of Eons will be released on June 28, 2024, as confirmed by the official Wuthering Waves X/Twitter account.

Characters
Kuro Games has confirmed that Wuthering Waves Version 1.1 will have two brand new 5-star units to pull. These are as follows:
- Jinhsi: A Magistrate of Jinzhou who has already played a massive role in Version 1.0. Players can expect her to become even more important in Version 1.1, as she will continue her investigation on Scar and other enemies. Leaks suggest that she will be in the first phase of Version 1.1.
- Changli: A cunning counselor of Jinhsi in Wuthering Waves, Changli has a way with words and can trap human beings very easily. However, she supports Jinhsi and works very hard to achieve her own goals. Leaks claim that she will be the featured 5-star in the second phase of Version 1.1.
Weapons
In addition to the characters, there will be two brand-new weapons for Jinhsi and Changli. The weapons are as follows:
- Ages of Harvest (5-star Broadblade)
- Blazing Brilliance (5-star Sword)
Each will have its own banners and will be featured alongside the respective characters who use them. The Broadblade is Jinhsi’s best weapon, while the Sword belongs to Changli.

Wuthering Waves Version 1.1 will have a brand new region called Mt. Firmament. This is where the Rover will travel to meet Sentinel Jue and take part in the brand-new story for the latest update. Additionally, Rovers will also get to experience new events with lots of exploring in this new region.

Wuthering Waves Version 1.1 story quest
Wuthering Waves Version 1.1 will feature two brand new story quests. One of them is Main Quest Chapter 1 Act 7, which revolves around the divine dragon Jue, magistrate Jinhsi, and the Rover.
In addition, a brand new companion quest for Changli called Immortal Blaze will also be available in Version 1.1.

Wuthering Waves Version 1.1 system updates
Wuthering Waves Version 1.1 will introduce several system changes to make the game experience a lot better for players. Here are all the system changes being made:
Echo System
Players have complained that low-grade Tuners are piling up their backpacks even when they are in the end-game. As such, a brand new Echo Tuner system is being introduced where Medium and Advanced Tuners can be upgraded to higher grades.
Increased Union EXP for Echo Entries
In Version 1.1, you will receive Union EXP for adding new Echo entries to your Data Bank. Additionally, all the Echoes you have collected until now will get retrospectively rewarded with Union EXP in the in-game email in Version 1.1.
Higher Cost Range for Echoes Rewarded for Activity Points
The developers are removing Cost 1 Echoes from Activity Points and players will receive only Cost 3 and Cost 4 Echoes. Additionally, after finishing 100 Activity Points, a random Cost 3 or Cost 4 Echo will be rewarded.
Data Bank Level-Cap
In Version 1.1, the Data Bank level cap has been increased to 21 which will guarantee 5-star Echo drops.
Increased Convene Item Version Exchange Limit in the Oscillated Coral Store
In Version 1.1 and beyond, the number of Radiant Tides, Lustrous Tides, and Forging Tides will be increased to 7 instead of 5.
