Valorant has been released on Xbox and PlayStation consoles in select regions and here’s how you can play.
A console port for the PC game has been a long time coming, given Riot has teased it in years past and posted multiple job openings for positions involving game development on current-generation hardware.
Here’s everything you need to know about how to download the game to your device, what regions it is available, what maps you can play, and more.
Where can you play Valorant on console?
The console version of Valorant is available in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, Brazil, and Japan. It’ll be playable on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Riot has said that it could roll out to other regions around the globe sometime in the future. The developer recommends wishlisting the game on the console of your choice to receive a notification if it is available in your country.
How to down Valorant on console
Players can download Valorant on their console of choice through their respective digital storefronts.
Previously, players had to register and receive a code for the closed beta. On July 26, 2024, Riot Games moved the beta to open as players can now test out the title without a code.
On August 2, Riot announced the game had left beta and had been released in full.
Will Valorant have cross-play?
According to a statement provided to Dexerto, Valorant will not have crossplay between console and PC players for “competitive integrity” reasons. However, if they are on the same account, players can connect and share an inventory across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
Progression will also be tied to players’ Valorant accounts and tracked across the different hardware.

Additionally, Riot stated skins and agents will be released simultaneously across the different platforms, including patches and other live-service features.
All maps available on console
The maps mentioned below are for Unrated, Swiftplay, Ranked, and Deathmatch:
- June 14: Abyss, Ascent, Bind, Haven
- June 25: Sunset
- July 16: Lotus
- July 30: Icebox
Starting June 14, Ascent, Bind, Haven, and Abyss became available to play on console. Haven was brought back to the Valorant map pool via patch 8.11 while Breeze and Split were rotated out.
Sunset was added to the map pool on June 25, patch 9.00, along with Ranked play. After that, Lotus followed with a release on July 16 and Icebox was soon after on July 30. Icebox was added with the 9.02 update on July 30.
All TDM maps such as District, Kasbah, Piazza, and Drift will also be playable. And if you want to play the maps that are omitted from the map pool, head over to the Custom Games section.

Beta players will have access to the following game modes in Valorant console:
- Unrated
- Swift Play
- Deathmatch
- Team Deathmatch
- Custom Games
- Competitive
Console players can also try the newly introduced Basic Training Tutorial – a new training experience that walks you through the gameplay basics such as shooting, agent abilities, match format, and more.
