Yellowstone star posts emotional goodbye online after wrapping production

Production on the final episodes of Yellowstone is in full swing, and one star has posted a final goodbye after wrapping their time on the show.

The Dutton family have encountered many enemies over the course of the Taylor Sheridan show, with only a handful of allies. One of their few friends in Montana is Governor Lynelle Perry, played by Wendy Moniz.

As John Dutton’s beau and political ally, Governor Perry is a reluctant source of insider information for the family. While John won’t appear in Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2, Perry certainly will.

After wrapping for the last time, Moniz has taken to Instagram to post an emotional goodbye after being a cast member since the show first aired in 2018.

“Series wrap for me on Yellowstone and been having alllll the feels; sentimental, proud, grateful to name a few,” she wrote. “What a beautiful experience I’ve had here; just incredibly fortunate to have worked with so many talented, dedicated, and kind people since 2017.

“I completed my last scene August 1st, then recalled having previously shared a gratitude post…looking back, it was on the SAME DATE two years ago.”

“There’s been a lot to reflect on, because this place, with the exceptional people who make it live and breathe, has often felt like a home away from home over these last 7 years.”

Along with the caption, Moniz posted a series of pictures from production, including a shot of the iconic Dutton ranch barn, some horses (of course), and the entrance to the ranch.

It remains to be seen just how much Governor Perry will influence the final episodes, especially with John no longer in the picture.
