It’s the question all Virgin River fans have been asking – will Brady and Brie get back together? All evidence suggests yes – here’s why.
Brady (Ben Hollingsworth) and Brie (Zibby Allen) first met in Season 3 of Virgin River, and it’s safe to say their relationship has been somewhat tumultuous ever since.
There were ups, and downs, and more ups, and more down, until the couple broke up during Season 5. They are both in separate relationships now, but something in the new TV show is pulling them back together.
Really, we’re unsure if either has actually moved on. But is there any chance they will rekindle their love in Season 6? Read on to find out.
Will Brady and Brie get back together in Virgin River?
Though nothing has been confirmed outright, Virgin River Season 6 has essentially confirmed Brie and Brady get back together through social media posts and the series trailer.
As you can see from the above, Brie and Brady are seen making a beeline for one another, something that’s replicated in the official series promo shots. The show’s Instagram account has also posted a highlights reel of their relationship in the days leading up to Season 6.
At the end of Virgin River Season 5 Part 2, Brie is still with Mike (Marco Grazzini) after swooping in while she was with her then-boyfriend Brady. Brady also moved earlier in the season with local girl Lark (Elise Gatien), officially driving Brady and Brie apart.
However, there looks to be more to Lark than meets the eye. In the final moments of the festive episodes, she gets a call from Jimmy (Ian Tracey), who is known as Calvin’s (David Cubitt) right-hand man.
He’s currently in jail, with the conversation between the pair remaining largely secretive. At the end of the call, Lark remarks that Brady is none the wiser, suggesting that she is hiding something big enough to break them up. We don’t yet know what the secret is, but common sense tells us it’s more than enough to push Brie and Brady back together.
On top of this, there are the implications of Preacher‘s trial. No matter if he’s found guilty or innocent, Brie will likely need the support of the community to get them both through the ordeal. As Brady is close to them both, this will obviously involve him in one way or another.
Season 6 fan theories
As expected, plenty of Virgin River fans thought the inevitable would happen way before any Season 6 details were confirmed.
“Who’s willing to bet that Lark falls in love with Brady despite whatever scheme she has cooking with that inmate dude? Then, Mike finds out and arrests her and all is ruined. Brady ends up with no one because in Brie’s eyes, perpetual f*ckup. Mel and Jack adopt Hazel so they don’t have to go through another miscarriage. All of this happens in the span of 3 days in Virgin River la la land, but like 14 years for us. The end,” one fan posted on Reddit.
“I think Brie and Brady will share an undeniable moment and/or kiss, she will be forced to break it off with Mike. Their chemistry is second to none!” another suggested.

Regardless of where Lark’s scheme is heading, many fans agree that it’s the perfect moment for Brady and Brie to get back together.
“After a short-lived dalliance with the “nice guy” Mike, Brie will return to bad boy Brady, and personally, I’m here for it,” one Reddit user shared in their Virgin River Season 6 predictions.
“I think the Lark/Jimmy setup is ultimately going to result in Brady and Brie getting back together. The writers teased it quite a bit in the two holiday episodes IMO. Feelings and chemistry is still there 100%,” another fan weighed in.
Where does this leave Mike?
Honestly, we’re none the wiser. If Mike and Brie go their separate ways, he could be written out of the series for good. Having said that, fans aren’t happy he’s being phased out.
Am I the only one who loves Mike and Brie?” one fan replied to Brady-Brie content, with another agreeing, “Noooo, we want Brie and Mike!”
“Team Mike and Brie. Too much straying from the books,” a third weighed in.
If you’ve read the original Virgin River book series, you’ll know Whispering Rock is essentially dedicated to their romance. As the synopsis explains, “Mike will do anything to help Brie free herself from painful memories. Passionate, strong, and gentle, he vows to give back to her what she’s so selflessly given him – her heart, and with it, a new beginning.”
This comes with a great deal of backstory we’ve barely touched on in the TV series, and fans are getting impatient for it.
“It sort of seems like the writers are trying SO hard to be different from the books? Idk. I like Mike and Brie better! I really liked Lark and Brady until the S5 finale,” one fan posted on Reddit.
“I’ve never read the books but I feel like in the show we know nothing about Mike other than he’s a cop. I thought he and Brie were cute when they had them working together and then that plot just stopped. We’ve seen her spend way more time with Brady than Mike at this point and we know way more about Brady’s backstory.”
Virgin River Season 6 arrives on Netflix on December 19. In the meantime, check out other Season 6 storylines, if there will be a time jump, and more similar shows to watch while you wait.
