Only Murders in the Building returned for a second season today. The show – which stars Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Golmez – revolves around three podcasters investigating mysterious deaths in their apartment block. The new series introduces a new set of characters/suspects, with Brit Cara Delevingne playing one of them.
Season 1 of Only Murders in the Building climaxed with the murder of the President of the Arconia Building’s Board Bunny Fogler, played by Jayne Houdyshell.
Mabel (Selena Gomez) found Bunny, and became covered in her blood, thereby making her the prime suspect, while Charles (Steve Martin) and Oliver (Martin Shorts) were also arrested as accessories.
The trio are quickly released due to lack of evidence during Season 2, Episode 1 of Only Murders in the Building. But now they are the story, with huge press interest in the case, and social media all over Mabel. Including one particular artist…
Who does Cara Delevingne play in Only Murders in the Building Season 2?
Cara Delevingne plays Alice Banks in Only Murders in the Building, who is part of a local art collective. She slides into Mabel’s DMs via video message, to say that she loves her mural. “I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it,” she tells Mabel.
Alice then invites Mabel to an opening at the gallery the next day. And ends by sending her lots of love, and blowing her a kiss.

Mabel duly goes to the gallery, and is relieved that Alice is real and not a “catfish.” In return Alice admires Mabel’s dress, and tells her there’s something very compelling about her.

Alice then tells Mabel that they could use some new energy in their collective. Especially as she has both talent, and everyone’s attention. So Alice invites Mabel back to get to know the space.
In Episode 2 of Only Murders in the Building, Mabel duly visits, and sees the sculpture Alice has made of her. She’s then asked to destroy it with an axe by way of therapy. Which Mabel duly does. Then kisses Alice, suggesting that she will be Mabel’s love interest during this season.
Who is Cara Delevingne?
Cara Delevingne is a model and actress from London. She won Model of the Year at the British Fashion Awards in 2012. The same year she segued into film via a role in Joe Wright’s adaptation of Anna Karenina.
Delevingne followed that up with roles in Paper Towns and Pan, later making the move into superhero movies playing Enchantress in Suicide Squad.

Since then she’s played Laureline in Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, and appeared in the likes of London Fields, Her Smell, and Life in a Year.
Only Murders in the Building is her second TV role, after playing Vignette Stonemoss in Carnival Row.
Season 2 of Only Murders of the Building is currently streaming on Hulu in the US and Disney+ in the UK.
