White Lotus Season 3: Everything we know

Natasha Rothwell in The White Lotus Season 3HBO

The White Lotus is where everyone wants to stay – with Season 3 officially underway, here’s everything you need to know about the anticipated third chapter.

White Lotus Season 2 took over the internet and most TV screens when it debuted back in 2021, with the second season of the show picking up the momentum from the first and building upon it in a near-perfect way.

Created by Mike White, who many know from School of Rock, the series pokes fun at the wealthy, with a cast of unlikeable yet loveable characters put together. However, each season has a dark twist, with black market trading, death, and more underpinning the glitz and glamor of each location and the superficial lives of each character.

With Season 3 edging closer, we’ve gathered everything we know so far about the upcoming season of the binge-worthy TV show.

When will White Lotus Season 3 air?

White Lotus Season 3 is set to premiere in February 2025.

The release window was revealed in December 2024 by Warner Bros. Discovery global streaming chief JB Perrette during a tech and media conference, as reported by Variety.

Upon the news that Season 3 was going ahead back in November 2022, Francesca Orsi, executive vice president of HBO Programming, said, “Reflecting on The White Lotus humble, run-and-gun origin as a contained pandemic production, it’s impossible not to be awestruck by how Mike orchestrated one of the buzziest and most critically acclaimed shows.”

“And yet, he’s only continued to reach new heights in Season 2, which is the ultimate testament to Mike’s raw, unparalleled vision. His courage to explore the uncharted waters of the human psyche, paired with his signature irreverent humor and buoyant directing style, have us all dreaming of more vacation days at the resort we’ve come to adore. We couldn’t be more thrilled to get the chance to collaborate on a third season together.”

Series creator Mike White added, “I feel so lucky to get this opportunity again and am excited to reunite with my amazingly talented collaborators.”

Connie Britton as Nicole in The White LotusHBO

Connie Britton’s Season 1 character, Nicole, has been previously teased for a return by the actress. “He wanted me to be in the second season, and there was an idea that I loved for the character,” she told Deadline.

“Our intention is to do it in the third season. A piece of casting didn’t work in the second season and we’re hoping to [do] that in the third season. I would love to see a spinoff on every character in that show.”

“The first season kind of highlighted money, and then the second season is sex,” White said during a clip at the end of the Season 2 finale.

“I think the third season would be maybe a satirical and funny look at death and Eastern religion and spirituality. It feels like it could be a rich tapestry to do another round at White Lotus.”
