Vinnie Jones is a stalwart in Guy Ritchie creations, recently revealing that he’d be ‘open’ to the possibility of Snatch 2.

While sports fans will probably best remember Vinnie Jones for his time as a footballer, Guy Ritchie fans will know him best for his roles in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch.

In the latter, Jones starred as Bullet Tooth Tony, a British bounty hunter who earned his nickname after being shot six times and living to tell the tale.

Vinnie Jones addresses Snatch 2

Speaking exclusively to Dexerto about the upcoming Netflix show The Gentlemen, Vinnie Jones told us he’d be open to Snatch 2 if the opportunity came up.

Ritchie’s original 2000 film was set in the underbelly of London, following gangsters, boxing promoters, amateur thieves, and violent bookmakers trying to retrieve a precious diamond stolen from an Antwerp jeweler.

Still boasting a 74% Tomatometer score 24 years later, the movie has continued to be praised for its black comedy and sense of controlled chaos. As for Bullet Tooth Tony, he’s still considered as being one of the greatest action characters of all time.

Speaking exclusively to Dexerto about possibly reprising the role in a sequel, Vinnie Jones explained “Yeah. I mean, people have always said about Snatch 2.”

“It was nuts,” Jones continued to explain about filming the original. “It was just like a student movie. We literally just had tea and biscuits – that was the catering. I think Matthew Vaughn brought the biscuits. When you’re in this trailer now [for The Gentlemen] and you look out the window like this and you see this massive production… I said to Guy ‘None of it would be here if it weren’t for us.’

“For that tiny little movie with no budget – Trudy Styler and Sting had to put in some money to finish it off – it was insane. To look out the window on the set of The Gentlemen to see how far we’d all come, it was strange. And we had a moment mean go at a moment. No one sitting here has a clue that we’re all here because of that little movie.”

Currently, there are no plans for a Snatch 2 – nor a sequel for any existing Guy Ritchie movie.
