It’s a slightly quieter month for Netflix this time out, but the streaming service is picking up where we left off in Emily in Paris Season 4 Part 1. Alongside this, the infamous Lyle and Erik Menendez case will be explored in Ryan Murphy’s Monsters, which is the second season in the anthology following Evan Peters’ Jeffrey Dahmer.

One of the most anticipated TV shows of the year is Agatha All Along. It might have had four name changes, but the upcoming Marvel TV show is here to slay… just don’t ask us if the Scarlet Witch is popping by to say hello.

Now that The Acolyte has wrapped up, Star Wars is taking it back to animation LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy. Is it canon? That’s up to the fans to battle it out. Is it cute? You betcha.

What to watch on Prime Video this month

Okay, so Prime Video has a pretty sparse month in terms of new TV – but the good news is The Rings of Power Season 2 is continuing on weekly after its three-episode premiere in August.

This is the fabled Second Age of Middle-earth’s history… so if you don’t know your Lord of the Rings lore, you might want to start at the beginning.

If you think you recognize the name Matlock, you do. Not only was he a former crime solver in the 1980s, but Grampa Simpson is absolutely obsessed with him. These days, the reboot is led by Kathy Bates.

TV shows streaming on Hulu this month

If you need emergency services, September 27 isn’t the day to get in trouble. Both Grey’s Anatomy and 9-1-1 begin their new seasons after a long wait for dedicated fans.

At the same time Only Murders in the Building Season 4 will continue on a weekly basis. This season follows our favorite trio finding out who killed their beloved friend and Charles’ longtime stunt double, Sazz.

It’s been two years since we were last gobsmacked Colin Farrell could look like that… but The Penguin is here to prove he means business. We met the DC character in RPatz’s The Batman, with the show following the transformation of Oswald Cobblepot from disfigured nobody to infamous Gotham gangster.

What to watch on Apple TV Plus this month

  • Slow Horses Season 4 (September 4)
  • La Maison (September 20)
  • Midnight Family (September 25)

Gary Oldman and his long locks are back for Slow Horses Season 4, which has already scored 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. If you’ve never watched before, a dysfunctional team of MI5 agents led by Jackson Lamb (Oldman) navigate the espionage world’s smoke and mirrors.
