The walker-verse continues to grow with The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, a sequel series that follows Rick and Michonne in their journey to finding each other. As the highest-rated series in the franchise so far, the spinoff was most certainly a success.
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live continues the legacy of the AMC show long after its end in 2022. Since then, a handful of new TWD spinoffs have come to pass.
Much like the rest of the Walking Dead universe, there are plenty of familiar characters and cameos to enjoy across the new series. Here, you’ll find everything you need to know about The Ones Who Live cast.
Contents:

Rick Grimes: Andrew Lincoln
When TWD first began, Rick was the leader, hero, and protagonist of the story. When he awoke from a coma long after the world had become overrun by walkers, Rick’s main mission was to find his family once again. From then on, he became a savior and embodiment of good amid the ongoing panic and violence. At times, his mindset wavered, but he always remained the heart of the show.
Rick is played by British actor Andrew Lincoln, who many will recognize from Love Actually. After leaving the series in Season 9 to spend time with his family, Lincoln is back as Rick once again for The Ones Who Live.
Michonne Grimes: Danai Gurira
Michonne first came into our lives during the Season 2 finale of The Walking Dead. Once audiences first laid eyes upon her katana sword and pet walkers, things were never the same. She became the embodiment of cool throughout the series. At first, she was untrusting and suspicious of everyone around her, but she soon became part of Rick’s crew and, eventually, his family.
While Danai Guirira may have found fame through her role as Michonne, the actor has gone on to star in other major franchises such as Black Panther and the greater MCU. Similarly to Rick, Michonne exited the main The Walking Dead franchise in Season 10, but will also returned to The Ones Who Live to reunite with Rick and find her family once again.
Pearl Thorne: Lesley-Ann Brandt
Pearl Thorne is a new character and an antagonist of The Ones Who Live. Much like Rick, she’s enlisted by the CRM as a consignee, and works alongside him as they rise in the ranks together. Thorne is much more easily captivated by the ideals of the CRM, however. As she gains more power, she becomes less sure of Rick’s commitment, and eventually becomes another potential foe.

Throne is played by Lesley-Ann Brandt, a South African actress best known for the role of Mazikeen on the television series Lucifer.
Jadis: Pollyanna McIntosh
Pollyanna McIntosh is once again back as the mysterious figure Jadis. Jadis was first introduced in The Walking Dead flagship series and has always been connected to Rick and his disappearance after rescuing him once he was caught in the bridge explosion that “killed” him.
Originally known as ‘Anne’, she initially lives as a survivor and leader of the community known as The Scavengers. However, once she catches wind of the CRM, she becomes entangled with their ideals and serves them. As such, it is great to see McIntosh back and fans are excited to see how she fits into the story this time around. Outside of The Walking Dead, McIntosh has appeared in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and Vikings: Valhalla.
Major General Beale: Terry O’Quinn
Major General Beale is a new character in The Walking Dead franchise and will serve as one of the leaders of the CRM (Civic Republic Military). Although he’s not a major presence in Rick’s life, he does seem a formidable leader within the ranks.
Actor Terry O’Quinn will be taking on the role of Beale, who is best known for his Primetime Emmy Award-winning performance of John Locke on the TV series Lost.
Nat: Matthew August Jeffers
Nat is yet another new character in The Ones Who Live. He accompanies Michonne on her journey to look for Rick. It’s clear that Nat idolizes Michonne a little, impressed by her dedication. As an inventor and weapons expert, Nat is a very valuable asset.
Nat will be played by Matthew August Jeffers, who appeared on the TV show New Amsterdam from 2018 to 2023.
