Suits has found a whole new audience of late, so is the show ever going to return? Here’s everything we know about a potential Suits Season 10.
In 2011, a pot-smoking fugitive stumbled into an interview for Harvard graduates at the most prestigious New York City law firm. His magnetic charm and encyclopedic familiarity with legal statutes and regulations even lands him a job.
This was the start of Suits, and Mike Ross and Harvey Specter’s beautiful friendship. Through nine seasons of binge-worthy television, the pair took on fraudsters, corrupt CEOs, prisons, and more.
Suits may have ended in 2019, but it’s been breaking records over the last year thanks to its successful arrival on streaming services. Spinoff Suits L.A. will be coming to screens soon, but is Suits Season 10 on the cards?
Will there be a Suits Season 10?
Suits Season 10 isn’t happening. However, there is a new spinoff on the way.
The show originally came to an end amid dwindling ratings with its ninth season. This paved the way for the short-lived Pearson spinoff. However, ever since coming to Netflix and dominating the charts, demand for another chapter of Suits has been huge.
In an interview with TVLine, executive producer Gene Klein said: “I’ve mentioned to Aaron [Korsh] that, in this era of reboots and reunions… I’m expecting a call at some point.
“But, I’m not aware of any serious conversations. It’s just one of those things where, in this day and age, you wouldn’t be surprised if somebody called you someday. But so far, nothing that I’m aware of.”
Showrunner Aaron Korsh doesn’t seem as keen on the idea, but he recently said he’d “consider” a revival if there was enough demand and he could round up everyone for a tenth season.
“Let me say right off that there is no Suits reboot in the works. Strike would have to end, some network or streamer would have to reach out and then we would have to collectively want to. Which is no small thing,” he wrote.
Suits L.A. is in the pipeline
If you’ve still got an appetite for more Suits, there is a spinoff currently in the works that will center around a group of lawyers in Los Angeles.
There is no Suits L.A. release date at the time of writing, but the show has begun shooting. Production began in Vancouver in March 2024.
Universal International Studios president Beatrice Springborn told Variety that the new TV show will feature “the same energy and good-looking people that the original did.”
The show will be written by Aaron Korsh, who created the original series and be led by Arrow star Stephen Amell. He will play Ted Black, a “charismatic force of nature who puts his own needs above others. Ted is a former New York prosecutor who joined forces 15 years ago with his old buddy, Stuart Lane, to build an L.A. law firm that specializes in criminal and entertainment law,” per NBC.

Where are the Suits cast now?
Patrick J. Adams has spoken candidly about how he feels his time came to a natural end on Suits.
He left the role of Mike Ross in Season 7, and told The Hollywood Reporter: “After seven seasons – really, eight years of being away from home and away from my wife, there was that pressure.
“I started thinking about leaving at the end of the first half of Season 6, after Mike was released from prison. From a story point of view, I was a little unsure of what was left for him.
“Mike had made the pledge during his trial that if he were allowed to continue to practice the law, he would dedicate his time and energy to underrepresented people and not big, corporate interests. I wasn’t sure how we were going to work that version of the character into the fabric of the show.”
Adams didn’t regret sticking around a little longer, though. He added: “Aaron Korsh and I talked about it and he pitched this idea of Harvey offering a one-for-one deal that would keep Mike working at the firm so he could gather the resources to go and do more pro-bono cases. That brought up an interesting Season 7. And I’m proud of how this season turned out.”
Meghan Markle, who played Rachel Zane on the show, hasn’t appeared in any movies or TV shows since her 2016 marriage to Prince Harry. She actually left the original show because of that marriage.
Meanwhile, Gina Torres saw her character, Jessica Pearson, disbarred. Pearson ended up entering the world of Chicago politics, so it’s unclear how she’d re-enter the main series.
How did Suits Season 9 end?
The last we saw, Donna and Harvey got married and moved back to Seattle to work alongside Mike and Rachel again. The quartet was set to take on class action lawsuits against big companies.
Faye Richardson is also assigned to oversee the firm, becoming a major villain in the final episodes. She then takes Louis’ place as managing partner, after her arrival sends him into a strange behavioral pattern.
Mike also returned at the last minute, and ended up going against Harvey in a case about unethical work conditions. The client in question is also one being handled by Samantha, leading to an almighty clash between the two – and her eventual firing by Faye.
Meanwhile, Louis became the head of Litt Wheeler Williams Bennett. There was even talk of a Louis spinoff, with producer Gene Klein revealing: “Obviously, there was a Louis Litt-themed one. There were lesser characters [Aaron] had spinoff ideas for… prequels where it’d be a younger version of an ancillary character. Really interesting, fun ideas that we never took anywhere.”
That’s it for Suits Season 10, then. For now, you can find out about why Jessica left and if Mike and Rachel returned. If you want more procedural dramas, here’s what we know about White Collar Season 7 and Your Honor Season 3.
