The show may be over, but we can’t stop thinking about the Succession cast and their characters. Here’s all you need to know about the actors involved.
Of all the new TV shows to arrive in the last decade, there’s a very valid argument to be made that Succession is the best of the best.
Sadly, we will never get a Succession Season 5. But, the show won a load of awards, and as you can tell from our review of the Succession finale, the whole thing came to a very satisfying and chaotic end.
So, who was involved in the show for the final season? Here’s a rundown of the Succession Season 4 cast, with information on all the characters and actors.

Logan Roy: Brian Cox
Brian Cox plays Logan Roy, the curmudgeonly CEO of Waystar Royco, a huge media conglomerate involved in news, entertainment, theme parks, cruises, and more. He’s constantly at odds with his children, he’s had repeated issues with his health, but he’s “bulletproof.”
While Succession may have given Cox his most memorable role, he’s also known for a wide range of performances in the likes of Manhunter, Braveheart, the Bourne movies, Troy, and more.
Kendall Roy: Jeremy Strong
Jeremy Strong plays Kendall Roy, the eldest of Logan’s children from his second marriage. At the start of the show, he believed he’d been groomed for the top job, but he’s let down and cast aside by his dad. We’ve seen him struggle with substance abuse and stage multiple coup d’etats against Logan, none of which were particularly successful. And, by the end, it’s left ambiguous as to whether Kendall died.
Strong has garnered the most acclaim for his performance in Succession, despite some criticizing his method acting (including Cox himself). He’s also appeared in The Gentlemen, The Trial of the Chicago 7, and The Big Short.
Shiv Roy: Sarah Snook
Sarah Snook plays Shiv Roy, a woman desperately trying to jostle for power in a family dominated by men. While more focused on politics at the start of the series, we’ve seen her tempted by the poisoned chalice of Waystar and even teased by her dad as his replacement. Of course, that didn’t work out, and it led to further tensions with her father and her marriage falling apart.
Snook starred alongside Ethan Hawke in Predestination, one of the best sci-fi movies of the 2010s. She’s also appeared in Steve Jobs and Netflix’s Pieces of a Woman.
Roman Roy: Kieran Culkin
Kieran Culkin plays Roman Roy, the wild child from Logan’s second marriage. Despite multiple business catastrophes — a failed rocket launch, sending a dick pic to his dad — his business acumen is strong and he remained a major contender for the throne right to the very end.
Culkin is likely best known for starring in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, and yes, he’s the brother of Macaulay and Rory.
Connor Roy: Alan Ruck
Alan Ruck plays Connor Roy, Logan’s eldest child. He’s constantly sidelined by his three half-siblings, although he takes little interest in Waystar unless it’s threatening the money in his pocket. In Season 4, we saw Connor make a play for the White House, but that didn’t work out — shocker!
Ruck famously starred in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off as Cameron, the bossed-around best pal of Matthew Broderick’s titular slacker. He’s also appeared in Speed, Twister, and Freaky.
Tom Wambsgans: Matthew Macfadyen
Matthew Macfadyen plays Tom Wambsgans, Shiv’s lapdog husband and outsider to the Roy clan. He’s a bit of a sociopath at work, and he’s undermined by his family-in-law, but his drive to climb the ladder saw him carry out a devastating double-cross at the end of Season 3. Ultimately, Tom Wambsgans was the big winner in the battle to take over from the late Logan Roy, somehow managing to become the new CEO of Waystar.
Macfadyen co-starred with Keira Knightley in 2005’s Pride and Prejudice, as well as appearing in Frost/Nixon, Quiz, and Operation Mincemeat.
Greg Hirsch: Nicholas Braun
Nicholas Braun plays Greg Hirsch, also known as “Cousin Creg”, Logan’s towering great nephew and the constant target of mockery and cringe-worthy torture by the Roys. However, despite Tom’s cruelty, they have the closest bond of anyone in the show, and he finishes up ludicrously close to the very top of the food chain.
Braun is known for an assortment of roles, including Sky High, Princess Protection Program, Red State, Prom, Zola, and The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
Lukas Matsson: Alexander Skarsgård
Alexander Skarsgård plays Lukas Matsson, the Swedish CEO of GoJo. He was introduced in Season 3 and immediately became a force to be reckoned with, especially after putting himself forward as Logan’s heir and convincing him to sell Waystar Royco. In the end, Lukas won the fight and got a shiny new toy to play with, much to the dismay of the Roy family.
Skarsgård is best known for playing Eric Northman in True Blood, as well as performances in Big Little Lies, The Northman, and the fascinating body horror movie, Infinity Pool.
Gerri Kellman: J. Smith Cameron
J. Smith Cameron plays Gerri Kellman, who serves as general counsel to Logan and, in the first three seasons at least, was his second-in-command, even stepping in as interim CEO. She also has an icky, not-entirely-mutual, sort-of-sexual relationship with Roman.
Cameron has enjoyed a long film and television career, also appearing in True Blood, as well as Rectify, Vengeance, and Search Party.
Frank Vernon: Peter Friedman
Peter Friedman plays Frank Vernon, a longtime confidant of Logan who also served as Waystar’s chief operating officer. Their relationship was quite bumpy, on account of a vote of no confidence in Logan in Season 1, but they were on steadier terms by the time Logan died in Season 4.
Friedman starred as George Silver in Brooklyn Bridge and has made numerous guest appearances in such series as Miami Vice, NYPD Blue, and Without a Trace.
Karl Muller: David Rasche
David Rasche plays Karl Muller, Waystar Royco’s chief financial officer. He’s loyal to Logan, although he can come across a bit like a bumbling fool when under pressure. But, he still managed to walk away from the GoJo deal with a golden handshake, so who’s the real fool?
Rasche has also starred in L.A. Law, Monk, The West Wing, Veep, and In The Loop.
Willa Ferreyra: Justine Lupe
Justine Lupe plays Willa Ferreyra, Connor’s escort, partner, and, eventually, wife. She’s also an aspiring playwright, but she seems to have given up that dream after her play flopped on Broadway. She may have been with Connor for the money at first, but by the end of Season 4 it became clear she had genuine feelings for him, and she was an incredibly supportive presence in his push for the presidency.
Lupe has also appeared in The Marvelous Mrs Maisel, Luckiest Girl Alive, and Mr Mercedes.

Kerry: Zoe Winters
Zoe Winters plays Kerry, Logan’s assistant who was first introduced in Season 2. In the third season, her presence increased, and by the time Logan died in Season 4, it was apparent that he and Kerry had been having a passionate affair — a little too passionate, perhaps, given his cause of death.
Winters also starred in Hunters, Flatbush Misdemeanors, and The Good Fight.
Stewy Hosseini: Arian Moayed
Arian Moayed plays Stewy Hosseini, a longtime friend of Kendall’s and a private equity investor. He’s been around since Season 1 and spent most of his time allied with Logan’s rival Sandy Furness.
Moayed has also appeared in the MCU as Agent P. Cleary in the Spider-Man movie, No Way Home, and in Ms Marvel.
Sandi Furness: Hope Davis
Hope Davis plays Sandi Furness, the daughter of Logan’s longtime rival Sandy, and a member of the Waystar Royco board.
Davis appeared in the MCU as Tony Stark’s mother, as well as starring in About Schmidt, American Splendour, and Synecdoche New York.
Hugo Baker: Fisher Stevens
Fisher Stevens plays Hugo Baker, Waystar’s crisis manager and communications officer who bears the brunt of Kendall, Shiv, and Roman’s (and pretty much everyone else’s) mockery. He worms his way deeper into the inner workings of the company in Season 4, but is cut loose by the end.
Stevens is best known for his roles in Short Circuit, Hackers, and The Blacklist. Funnily enough, he also directed the Beckham docuseries for Netflix.
Marcia Roy: Hiam Abbass
Hiam Abbass plays Marcia Roy, Logan’s third wife. She’s been around since the show’s beginning, but came into conflict with her husband over his infidelity in Season 2. By Season 4, in particular at Logan’s funeral, Marcia returns to the fore.
Abbass is also known for appearing in Munich, Paradise Now, The Limits of Control, and Blade Runner 2049.
Karolina Novotney: Dagmara Dominczyk
Dagmara Dominczyk plays Karolina Novotney, the head of PR for Waystar Royco.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, the actress said: “I think she’s good because she’s still there. I think these people have no patience for any kind of mistake — the Roys — they’re not very full of grace or forgiveness.”
Dominczyk has also starred in The Assistant, The Lost Daughter, and HBO’s We Own This City. More recently, she appeared in Priscilla, and the new movie starring Martin Freeman and Jenna Ortega, Miller’s Girl.
Ebba: Eili Harboe
Eili Harboe plays Ebba, Lukas Matsson’s head of communications at GoJo who also has an uncomfortable relationship with her boss… on account of him sending her his blood (yes, really).
Harboe has also appeared in The Wave, Thelma, and Arkitekten.
Oskar: Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson
Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson plays Oskar, Lukas Matsson’s sweary number two at GoJo.
Jóhannesson is best known for playing Olaf Haraldsson in Netflix’s Vikings: Valhalla, as well as his roles in Infinite and Game of Thrones.
Nate Sofrelli: Ashley Zukerman
Ashley Zukerman plays Nate Sofrelli, a political strategist who had an affair with Shiv in earlier seasons of Succession. Later, he has a big part to play in the US Presidential race.
Zukerman has also appeared in Netflix’s Fear Street trilogy, Manhattan, A Teacher, and The Lost Symbol.
Daniel Jiménez: Elliot Villar
Elliot Villar plays Daniel Jiménez, the Democratic candidate for the US presidential election.
As for where you may have seen Villar before, he’s best known for playing Fernando Vera in Mr. Robot.
Jeryd Mencken: Justin Kirk
Justin Kirk plays Jeryd Mencken, the Republican far-right candidate for the US presidential election. He was first introduced in Season 3 Episode 6. Later, he is basically handed the presidency when ATN call the election in his favor.
Kirk is best known for his performance as Prior Walter in Angels in America, as well as his roles in Weeds and Modern Family.
Jess: Juliana Canfield
Juliana Canfield plays Jess, Kendall’s personal assistant at Waystar. A long-suffering ally of Kendall’s, Jess has seen him at his absolute lowest, and helped him get back up time and time again. Eventually, amid societal tensions fueled by ATN’s actions in the presidential race, Jess leaves her role as Kendall’s assistant.
Canfield also starred as Beth DeVille in 2021’s Y: The Last Man, as well as appearing in The Assistant and Amazing Stories.
