The first trailer for the Knuckles’ spinoff series has dropped online, as well as the poster showing off the mighty Echidna warrior against the Las Vegas strip.
We’re all incredibly excited for Sonic the Hedgehog 3, but we’ll have to wait until December before we see Shadow the Hedgehog in action. Thankfully, Knuckles will punch his way onto Paramount+ this April to compensate for the long wait.
Paramount has dropped the first trailer and a new poster of the upcoming Knuckles series, a six-episode “event” spinoff from the Sonic movies, much to the excitement of raving fans on social media.
Knuckles trailer finally drops and Sonic fans are hyped
While Sonic and sidekick Tails appear in the series, Idris Elba returns as Knuckles as he takes front and center, starring in his own side series releasing April 26, 2024, while we wait for the third Sonic movie.
From the trailer, we can tell that Sonic and Tails fit nicely into their home on Earth with the peace and calm it comes with. Knuckles, on the other hand, is a proud fighter and can’t handle the quiet. Possibly out of boredom or pity, Knuckles seemingly takes on the well-meaning but tactless police officer Wade as an apprentice and trains him to fend for himself.

Simultaneously, mysterious forces that previously worked for Robotnik follow in his footsteps, using quills fused with Knuckles’ power to stand a fighting chance against the Echidna as they hunt him down. Quoting Knuckles’ big entrance in second Sonic the Hedgehog movie.
New Knuckles poster dropped alongside trailer
Knuckles has also received a new poster showing off his iconic “LEGO” shoes and spiked fists in great detail. The series is supposed to be set with Knuckles on an adventure that leads him to Las Vegas, and we can see Sin City on the horizon.
An excellent reference we like to see is Knuckles wearing his treasure hunter hat from the 1996 Sonic the Hedgehog anime movie. We also spotted another Echidna in the series and a new collection of villains gunning for Knuckles, so we’ll see a fair few new faces, as well as recognized ones.
Knuckles will punch his way onto Paramount+ on April 26, 2024; much like most fans, we cannot wait for him to blast onto the scene.
