The series is one of many titled that Warner Bros. (who own HBO) are sending to Netflix thanks to a deal struck between the two companies early this year.
Before finding its new home on Netflix, Sex and the City was only available to stream through HBO, later known as their new name Max.
Sex and the City follows four single friends — Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Charlotte York (Kristin Davis), Miranda Hobbs (Cynthia Nixon), and Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall) — as they deal with love, heartbreak, loss, friendship, and so much more while living in Manhattan, NY.
In 2021, Max launched a sequel to the original show titled And Just Like That…, which has been renewed for a third season.
