House of the Dragon Season 2 release schedule: Are there any more episodes?

Emma D'Arcy as Rhaenyra in House of the DragonHBO

House of the Dragon Season 2 is now over, ending eight episodes of war, dragons, and the continued fight for the Iron Throne.

After a long two-year wait, House of the Dragon Season 2 arrived in June 2024. Season 1 left us on something of a cliffhanger, with Rhaenyra Targaryen reeling from the news of her son’s murder. What’s more, Team Green was firmly on the Iron Throne, kicking the oncoming war into action.

Since then, the show has spent eight episodes revealing what Rhaenyra, Alicent, Daemon and co. (aka: the dragons) have been up to. Episode 8 has now been and gone, leaving everyone on the edge of war…again.

This didn’t satisfy everyone, and fans have since dubbed the finale as a lackluster way to end the season, lacking any battles or major events.
