Marvel has been coming out with numerous animated material as of late, so here’s everything we know about the new Eyes of Wakanda series.
Of all the Marvel heroes, Black Panther is considered to be one of the most successful (critically and commercially) across the board. It make sense then that the studio is capitalizing on this with a new animated series that explores Wakandan history.
Not much has been revealed about the new TV show, but there is a release date and an idea of what the anthology series will be about.
Here’s everything we know about Eyes of Wakanda, with the latest news and teaser trailer.
Eyes of Wakanda release date
Eyes of Wakanda will be released on August 6, 2025 on Disney+.
This will form part of Marvel’s Phase 6. The release date was finally revealed in October 2024 as part of Marvel’s upcoming TV slate.
The series was first hinted at back in February 2021, when news spread that a Wakanda-based MCU project was in development with Ryan Coogler, the filmmaker behind the Black Panther movies.
Marvel Studios then officially announced the series in December 2023, revealing that it would be a four-part anthology series about Wakandan warriors retrieving vibranium artifacts from around the world.
Is there a trailer?
There’s no full trailer just yet, but a teaser for Eyes of Wakanda was released on October 30 as part of Marvel’s 2025 sizzle reel.

It’s incredibly brief (the trailer was taken up with moments from other shows, like Daredevil: Born Again and Ironheart), but you can get a quick look at Eyes of Wakanda at the 1:20 mark:
Eyes of Wakanda plot
Eyes of Wakanda will follow certain Wakandan warriors who venture out from their isolated country in search of vibranium artifacts.
The official Eyes of Wakanda synopsis is as follows: “Throughout Wakandan history, brave warriors have been tasked to travel the world retrieving dangerous vibranium artifacts. This is their story.”
Unlike other upcoming Marvel shows, Eyes of Wakanda will take place in the MCU, meaning it connects directly to the on-screen version of Wakanda we already know. Executive producer Brad Winderbaum revealed as much in March 2024 [via Men’s Health], saying the show “fits right into our sacred MCU timeline continuity.”
That makes it the only animated series (so far) to take place in the official MCU timeline.
He also added: “It’s about Wakandan history and mythology, and it’s really cool. It looks amazing.”
