Here’s the complete Doctor Who Season 14 release schedule, including when the season finale, ‘Empire of Death’, is due to arrive.

Ncuti Gatwa has taken his Doctor Who tenure to the next level with the release of Doctor Who Season 14. (For purists, it’s technically Doctor Who Season 40, but who’s counting?)

Season 14 is an eight-episode run of new adventures for our favorite Time Lord and his new companion, Ruby Sunday. The new Doctor‘s debut season offered talking babies and The Beatles, and we’re now at the end of this particular run.

The last Doctor Who episode of the season, ‘Empire of Death’, is set to arrive very soon and disrupt the Doctor’s life for good. But when exactly is it going to land? Here’s what you need to know.

When is Doctor Who Season 14 Episode 8 out in the UK?

In the UK, Doctor Who Season 14 Episode 8, ‘Empire of Death’, will be released on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at midnight on BBC iPlayer for UK viewers.

The episode then airs at 6:40pm BST on BBC One the same day, meaning you can catch it on the streaming service before it arrives on the BBC channel later that evening.

When is Doctor Who Season 14 Episode 8 out in the US?

In the US, Episode 8, ‘Empire of Death’, will arrive on Friday, June 21 at 7:00 p.m. ET on Disney+, meaning everyone can watch at the same time.

This is the first ever Doctor Who season to launch on Disney+ and have a simultaneous international release.

The synopsis for ‘Empire of Death’ is as follows: “The Doctor has lost, his ageless enemy reigns supreme, and a shadow is falling over creation. Nothing can stop the devastation… except, perhaps, one woman.”

New episodes of Doctor Who were released every week from May 11, with eight episodes in total. The full release schedule and list of episode titles is as follows:

  • Episode 2: ‘The Devil’s Chord’ — May 11 (UK)/May 10 (US)
  • Episode 3: ‘Boom’ — May 18 (UK)/May 17 (US)
  • Episode 4: ’73 Yards’ — May 25 (UK)/May 24 (US)
  • Episode 5: ‘Dot and Bubble’ — June 1 (UK)/May 31 (US)
  • Episode 6: ‘Rogue’ — June 8 (UK)/June 7 (US)
  • Episode 7: ‘The Legend of Ruby Sunday’ — June 15 (UK)/June 14 (US)

Is Doctor Who Season 15 happening?

Yes! Doctor Who Season 15 has been confirmed, and wrapped filming in May 2024.

It’ll be another eight episodes, starring Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson once more, with Russell T Davies returning as showrunner.

There’s no release date yet, but it’s expected to premiere in 2025.
