Anticipation is building for an upcoming horror starring Hunter Schafer, with fans hailing it as the “movie of the year” after receiving a 2024 release date.
Though Neon was only founded in 2017, the production and distribution company has backed a whole host of hit titles since its inception, from I, Tonya, and Portrait of a Lady on Fire to Parasite and Anatomy of a Fall.
This year, the firm is expanding its horror slate, kicking off with the genius marketing campaign for Longlegs, an occult-themed film starring Nicolas Cage as an elusive serial killer.
But before it drops, another movie that is both produced and distributed by Neon is set to arrive, starring Euphoria icon Hunter Schafer.

As well as excitement about the movie’s forthcoming release, there are plenty of comments simply saying, “Finally,” referring to the film’s lengthy development – having first been announced back in 2021.
Although plot details are being kept under wraps, a synopsis on IMDb reads: “A 17-year-old girl is forced to move with her family to a resort where things are not what they seem.”
Cuckoo is set to enjoy its world premiere at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival in the Berlinale Special this month before screening at South by Southwest in March 2024.
