Cobra Kai is set to continue the Karate Kid saga on Netflix, and it just delivered its biggest Season 6 update yet.

Netflix dropped its 2024 slate last week, with some of its hottest shows making their return this year. Much anticipation is building for Squid Game Season 2, and the same can be said for upcoming installments from The Umbrella Academy, Bridgerton, and Emily in Paris.

Another show that will be striking fast and hard (with no mercy) is Cobra Kai – the Karate Kid sequel that’s shown the spinoff saga how to do it right, delivering the perfect blend of nostalgia and humor while also delivering a fresh take on the classic movie franchise.

The bad news is the show is coming to an end with its sixth season. The good news is it’ll be arriving in 2024 – and Netflix just shared its biggest update yet.

The footage shows Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, and the rest of the cast sharing their excitement about commencing filming, while also highlighting how it’s “bittersweet” that this will be the final chapter. The cast reveal they’ve been “hard at work behind the scenes,” saying “it’s going to be the biggest, baddest season yet” while teasing plenty of “surprises.”

It’s successfully built momentum, with one fan writing, “Cinematic brilliance at its finest; these creators are setting a new standard for online storytelling.” “Can’t wait to re watch the entire show again just to keep the momentum for Season 6,” said another, while a third added, “Finally a good thing to hear this year.”

And a fourth chimed in: “Last week, I started rewatching the entire series again. This show is so good and so rewatchable. Growing up with the original Karate Kid movies this is the perfect extension of those movies. I think Cobra Kai has reached my top 5 TV shows of all time. I can’t wait for Season 6!”
