If you’re looking for some laughs, look no further than Netflix’s latest addition of a beloved sitcom that’s already ranking in the charts.
While drama might be dominating the small screen these days, Netflix knows what’s up when it comes to delivering the laughs.
Yes, okay, they’ve also spent the first half of 2024 reducing subscribers to tears with One Day or revitalizing previously canceled shows, but they’ve kept us going with some lighthearted fare, too.
Now, the streamer has just added a much-loved series to its ranks, and it’s already climbing the Top 10.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine is now available on Netflix
On February 26, Netflix added Brooklyn Nine-Nine Seasons 1-4 to its platform, and it’s already hit number nine on the streaming charts.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine originally premiered in 2013 and put a new spin on the police procedural. Set in the 99th precinct of the New York City Police Department, the show followed a team of oddball cops as they navigated some seriously silly crimes.
Created by Michael Schur, the same brain behind The Office, Parks and Rec, and The Good Place, Brooklyn Nine-Nine quickly became a smash hit. Not only did it gain a loyal following, but it dominated the industry, winning Golden Globes, Emmys, and Critics Choice Television Awards.
However, it hasn’t always been a smooth ride. In 2018, Fox suddenly canceled the show after five seasons. As a result, fans launched a passionate campaign to save the show, and just thirty hours after the cancellation announcement, NBC swooped in to pick the series back up.

With eight seasons and almost a decade behind it, Brooklyn Nine-Nine has since earned itself a spot among the greats. It hasn’t been on Netflix long, but fans have already expressed their joy at being able to revisit their favorite precinct (and not under the threat of arrest, either!)
“Brooklyn Nine-Nine makes me very happy,” wrote one X user. Another said: “OMG BROOKLYN NINE-NINE IS ON NETFLIX BAKXHJWX.”
“THEY GOT BROOKLYN NINE-NINE ON NETFLIX WE WON!!!” one comment stated.
“I legit thought about canceling Netflix today. Then they added Brooklyn Nine-Nine a few hours later and I must say I will never be canceling Netflix. (Until they remove B99 that is),” another wrote.
