Arcane Season 2 Part 2 has landed on Netflix, taking us right into the chaos between Zaun and Piltover after Caitlyn joined Ambessa’s call to arms. And once again, the League of Legends show’s latest batch of episodes end on an almighty cliffhanger, as well as a devastating death.
In Season 2 Part 1, Vi and Jinx faced off in a heart-wrenching battle, with Vi coming close to ending her sister’s rampage for good. However, Sevika’s detonation of a chem-bomb threw a spanner in the works, as did Isha’s involvement.
On the Hextech front, Viktor’s transformation drove him and Jayce apart, while a mysterious wild rune formation sent sent Jayce, Ekko, and Heimerdinger into another realm, leaving us with more questions for Part 2.
In the shadows, Ambessa’s motives became clearer as the Noxian secret society Black Rose made their Arcane debut before kidnapping Mel. Meanwhile, Singed completed work on his sinister experiment – Warwick is ready to be unleashed, causing even more carnage in Part 2. Warning: spoilers ahead!
Arcane Season 2 Part 2 ends with a bang
At the very end of Arcane Season 2 Part 2, Isha, driven by her love for Jinx, runs to Warwick (who’s also Vander) and shoots in his direction with a Hextech gun, causing a massive explosion.
Much like Jinx’s rocket launch at the end of Arcane Season 1, we’re going to have to wait and find out who has died from the attack. Before then, let’s get into the context.
The catastrophic event doesn’t start out this way. In fact, Episode 6 begins with hope. After finding out Singed’s werewolf-like creation is part Vander, Vi, Jinx, and “Baby Jinx” Isha take him to see Viktor.
Since fusing with the Hexcore, Viktor has discovered he has healing abilities, and has been using this force to save and transform shimmer-ravaged Zaunites. Think of him like Arcane Jesus.
He’s now completely transformed the undercity into a peaceful utopia, where residents can live peacefully. Although Vander’s psyche is deeply entangled with that of the beast, Viktor believes he can save him.
Viktor enters the spirit realm, and is joined by the spirit of Sky, who work together to try and pull Vander out into the physical realm. For a while, it’s looking like Vi, Jinx, Vander, and Isha will get to be a family.
Singed’s real identity is revealed
However, not if Singed has anything to do with it. You see, after Jinx released Zaunite prisoners and Singed unleashed Warwick in Arcane Season 2 Episode 4, Ambessa and Caitlyn are out for blood.
When punishment doesn’t work, they agree to treat Singed as an esteemed advisor if he can lead them to Warwick. He takes them to his workshop to use his chemical alchemy to locate the beast.
Here, a long-standing fan theory is confirmed: Singed is actually Corin Reveck, the father of Orianna. Both Singed and Corin are League of Legends characters, but they have been fused to provide him with a motive.
Singed, aka Dr. Reveck, isn’t evil just because he is – all of his mad experiments, including Warwick, have been driven by his desire to achieve immortality and revive his daughter.
Following this revelation, he uses his sorcery to create a chem-compass, which he uses to lead Ambessa, Caitlyn, and their Piltover army to Warwick/Vander’s location.
When they arrive at the commune, they’re told to leave their weapons outside. Singed asks to go in alone, explaining that he has history with Viktor.
Viktor is struggling through a session with Warwick/Vander as Singed walks in and tells him, “You’ve felt it, haven’t you? Your decline. Your power is finite, diminished by every use.”
Singed tries to convince Viktor to sacrifice Warwick, as the “regenerative qualities of his blood will stabilise you.” But Viktor stands firm, stating, “I will not sacrifice his humanity for your cause.”
Singed leaves, but not without a sinister final word: “Very well. But I assume you understand already, if you perish, this community is soon to follow.”
Vi and Caitlyn are so back
Vi walks around the commune when she spots Singed leaving and secretly follows him. As she heads in the direction of Ambessa’s military posts, Caitlyn pops up out of nowhere, catching Vi off guard.

After a tussle, they exchange a few insults, but you can tell there are still feelings there. They establish they’re both there for the same reason but with completely different perspectives: Caitlyn says they’ve tracked a “chemweapon”, aka Warwick; Vi says she’s saving her dad.
Meanwhile, Singed returns to Ambessa’s post, where he explains that if Viktor succeeds in reviving Vander, the “creature’s usefulness will be lost to us.” Ambessa says they’ll just have to use force, but Singed believes he can create a serum that would work.
As they speak, Caitlyn comes in holding Vi as her prisoner. But don’t fret – it’s all a ruse. Caitlyn and Vi are back on each other’s side.
Caitlyn heads into the commune with Singed and Ambessa’s guard Rictus. Just as Singed goes to administer the serum, she overpowers him. Meanwhile, Vi takes on Ambessa and restrains her.
Vander… is that you?
Jinx, who’s been watching from the sidelines, takes on Rictus. He gets the upper hand, but just as he raises his spear, Warwick/Vander steps in.
Amazingly, he utters his first words: “Don’t touch my daughter.” That’s right, Vander’s back and Viktor’s healing is working!
Initially, Caitlyn isn’t too happy to see Jinx, but when Vi and Isha arrive and she sees the family together, her mind starts to change.
The happy reunion doesn’t last long, though. While this has been going on, Jayce – who’s been corrupted by magic – is back in the physical world. After killing Salo, he’s now made it to the commune.
His Hextech crystal has fused to his wrist, his hammer is corrupted, and, well, it doesn’t look like he’s there for a nice chat.
A child leads him to Viktor, who’s currently in the spiritual realm. When he directs his hammer towards his former Hextech partner, the gemstone sparks a huge reaction, exploding through the enclosure and killing Viktor.
As Viktor takes his final breath, his death has a ripple effect. As Singed warned, “If you perish, this community is soon to follow.” Unfortunately, he was right.
Every Zaunite who was healed by Viktor falls to the ground, letting out blood-curdling screams as their bodies become lifeless.
Viktor’s death leads to carnage
Tragically, this undoes all of the work Viktor carried out on Vander. Vi, Jinx, and Isha are left horrified as they see all traces of their father leave his body, replaced only by rage.
Molten lava and fire spills out of him, and he takes his anger out on Rictus, tearing him to pieces. At this point, Ambessa has escaped and arrived with her army.
After seeing her best man killed, she orders them to charge, leading to an emotionally wrought battle. It’s carnage, fueled by hatred and resentment.
When Vi gets hurt by the soldiers, Caitlyn goes to save her. But the most heartwrenching moment is seeing Jinx desperately trying to bring Vander back.
It’s no use – Warwick has taken over, and he tosses Jinx to the side. As she lies there hurt, Isha makes a decision. Despite protests from her surrogate sister, she runs through the battle, aims the Hextech gun at Warwick, and pulls the trigger, sparking a huge explosion.
Who else gets hurt? We’ll have to wait and find out in Arcane Season 2 Part 3, which drops on Netflix on November 23.
