Grab your flashlights and don’t look away – here’s everything we know about American Horror Story: Delicate, also known as Season 12.
Anthology series American Horror Story’s 12th season, subtitled Delicate, promises even more twists, turns, and shocks thanks to some big changes to the story and cast.
Whereas the previous 11 seasons were notable for telling one original creepy tale, the next season will apparently be the first to adapt an upcoming book.
Let’s take a look at all the biggest details that have been revealed about American Horror Story Season 12.
American Horror Story Season 12 – Is there a release date?
American Horror Story: Delicate began releasing on FX on September 20, 2023.
Thankfully, the show has seemingly not been delayed by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, and Season 12 remains in production, as reported by Variety.
FX has since announced that Season 12 will be split into two halves, with the first 5 episodes airing in 2023. The rest are suspected to be held until early 2024.
AHS: Delicate – Who has been cast?
Veteran of the series Emma Roberts is set to return for Season 12, but she will be joined by reality TV star Kim Kardashian. Though Kardashian has done some smaller acting parts in the past, including a stint hosting Saturday Night Live, this will be her first major acting role.

In addition to Roberts and Kardashian, model and actor Cara Delevingne will appear, as will Gilmore Girls alum Matt Czuchry.

American Horror Story: Delicate trailer – Is there a trailer?
The first official trailer for AHS: Delicate was released on September 6. The trailer, which can be seen below, gives viewers the first look at the story.

American Horror Story Season 12 – What do we know of the plot?
The series, which is titled Delicate, is based on Danielle Valentine’s recent novel Delicate Condition.
The book is about “a woman who becomes convinced that a sinister figure is going to great lengths to make sure her pregnancy never happens.”
The official show synopsis states that “after multiple failed attempts of IVF, actress Anna Victoria Alcott wants nothing more than to start a family. As the buzz around her recent film grows, she fears that something may be targeting her – and her pursuit of motherhood.”
