Over the past couple of years, TikTok has been on a massive rise in popularity, becoming the center of the internet’s most viral content.
But as you take a look at different peoples’ profiles on the app, you may be wondering whether they can see if you have viewed them.
It used to be the case that you could tap your notification tab and look at the ‘viewed my profile’ section to see who had viewed your profile. At one point, you would even receive notifications to alert you to new profile views. But, is that still a feature?
Can people see who viewed their TikTok profile?
Yes, creators can see some of the people who viewed their TikTok profile, as long as they have the profile views feature enabled.
Although TikTok removed the ability to see who has viewed your profile a while back, there were reports in January 2022 that TikTok was adding the feature back in on an opt-in basis.
Users started reporting that the feature had returned in 2022, although not everyone was happy to see it make a comeback.
It’s not possible to see exactly who has viewed your videos, however. People can see how many times a video has been viewed from the thumbnail on their profile page, but this doesn’t include information about specific accounts.

Why can’t I see my profile views on TikTok?
If you used to be able to see your profile views on TikTok but now can’t, chances are you’ve either had your age set for under 16 years old, or you’ve accidentally turned off your profile views.
If you’re under 16, there’s nothing you’ll be able to do, as TikTok recently made this feature unable for anyone under that age. However, if your age was set to 16 by mistake, you can contact TikTok to have it changed.
If you, however, accidentally turned off your profile views on TikTok, there’s an easy way to fix it. Just follow the steps below.
How to turn profile views on
If you have access to the profile views feature and you decide that you want to try it out, turning it on is a pretty straightforward process. To do so, simply follow these steps:
- Open TikTok.
- Go to the ‘Profile’ tab.
- Tap the footsteps icon in the top right corner of the screen.
- Select ‘Turn on.’
How to turn profile views off
To turn it off again, just navigate to the eye icon on your profile again, and in the top-right corner click the gear icon. After that, toggle the switch to off. You are able to turn the setting off and on at any time.
Only viewers who have turned on profile views and viewed your profile within the past 30 days will be shown.
