Starfield is a modern day RPG that provides players with a vast universe to explore and dive into. Unfortunately, the game lacks depth in a lot of aspects, and one of them includes the lack of consequences for your actions in the game.

Ever since its launch Starfield has been subject to massive criticism from the fans. The game has quite a lot of issues that the developers failed to address which in turn makes Starfield feel lifeless and boring.

As it happens, players are now coming up with even more complaints and one of them is related to consequences. It seems, that no matter what you do in the game, there are no repercussions, and this is something that players are quite unhappy with.

Starfield players left frustrated as actions have no consequences in the game

The discussion surrounding this topic was started by a Reddit user Gemificus83. The user claimed, “It’s really beginning to annoy me that nothing you do in the game actually has an impact, as an example I just finished the strikers quest in neon but I know if I go back in a few in game weeks nothing will have changed in ebbside it won’t be safer and people a little happier nor will the syndicate have moved in on dispels turf and made things worse absolutely nothing will change.”

They continued, “I took out Shaw and her gang on Akila but it makes absolutely no impact, for a game that is supposed to be so advanced it’s lacking just basic mechanics. Anyone else feel this way? Or have examples to prove I’m wrong I’m not fully thru the game yet working my way through it slowly.” Other players joined in the conversation as they have similar ideas surrounding this issue.

One such user mentioned, “On Neon the gun store with the robot had been vandalised. I did that quest and the dialogue said how he’d cleaned him and looked good as new. Only the robot looked exactly the same as before, still covered in graffiti.” Another user chimed in, “My biggest issue with the game. Feels so generic. Has so much potential. But it’s just too sanitized.”

One player also claimed, “Nothing you do in the game has any impact that’s worth mentioning. It’s all very humdrum, boring, mid, safe and sanitised.” Finally, one of the players commented, “The NPCs remain in the same place because the system that was in place that gave them a cycle of chores and sleeping have been gutted.”

Therefore, it is safe to say that everyone in the community has very similar ideas regarding this issue. The lack of meaningful content in the game has led to frustrations increasing. However, Bethesda is yet to make any changes, and only time will tell if they decide to do anything.
