As Bethesda’s most ambitious single-player game to date, Starfield has captivated fans across the globe as they embark on their space adventures in the expansive universe the developers have created.
The game has a tremendous amount of content, including plenty of planets to visit, companions to meet, and skills to learn. However, fans are already keen to know if Starfield will have any DLC in the future.
With that in mind, here’s everything we know about Starfield DLC.
Will Starfield get any DLC or expansions?
Yes, Starfield will receive DLC. Bethesda and Microsoft have confirmed that the game’s Premium and Constellation Edition pre-orders will include a slew of additional content.
Players who invest in any of these bundles will gain access to a Constellation Skin Pack, a Soundtrack, and a Digital Art Book, among other digital bonuses. In addition, the first story expansion, Shattered Space, will also be available for those with these editions when it releases in 2024.
Beyond that, Bethesda Director Todd Howard said in June 2023 that the studio plans to create “a lot of add-on content for Starfield,” including story-based expansion packs.

Howard has since revealed the developer’s intention to release annual expansions, though no specifics have been announced.
In July 2024, a Twitter/X user noticed Bethesda had trademarked “Starborn,” leading many to speculate a connection to the next expansion following Shattered Space.

Given that the Starborn are important to Starfield’s main story and ending, this potential expansion could add to the lore and New Game Plus.
