YouTube star iShowSpeed has come in for criticism for a reckless challenge during the “Match for Hope” on Friday.
Social media influencers Chunkz and Aboflah captained the two teams at the Ahmad Bin Ali stadium in Qatar, with Chunkz’s side emerging as 7-5 winners.
The match was organised by the Education Above All Foundation, a charity that was set up in Qatar in 2012 with the intention of transforming lives through education.
iShowSpeed steals show with reckless challenge and unbelievable miss
But it was iShowSpeed who stole the show for all the wrong reasons. Firstly, the YouTuber raged at being placed on the bench by former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, who managed Team Chunkz.
He then picked up a yellow card for a shocking challenge on former Ballon d’Or winner Kaka, with the former Real Madrid and AC Milan star among a number of legendary ex-players taking part in the game.

Speed raced back to challenge the Brazilian midfielder and brought him down with a studs up, reckless, lunge which caught the ire of social media, none less so than Arsenal legend Ian Wright.
“[He] Should not be playing with these guys tackling like that,” Wright commented on Instagram.
Speed was then ridiculed by fans on social media as he missed an open goal, despite the chance being laid on a plate by former Chelsea and Real Madrid star Eden Hazard.
The YouTuber apologized to his fans after the game and has suggested he will retire from playing in these football games in future.
