Smash Ultimate players are losing their minds over the Sans costume

Nintendo

The September Nintendo Direct unveiled a lot of news about the future of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, but perhaps all of that has been overshadowed by the announcement of Undertale’s Sans as a costume.

During a 40-minute Direct, we learned Banjo Kazooie would be available immediately following the broadcast, received confirmation of Terry Bogard, and even found out Nintendo will be adding in even more fighters in the future.

However, many fans found themselves getting caught up on the fact that Sans from Undertale would be making an appearance in the game as a skin for the Mii Fighter.

NintendoBanjo’s debut in Smash Ultimate was hyped up, but not as much as Sans apparently.

That’s right, fans are hyped up for new content that isn’t even a new fighter, but is just a skin instead.

This means he doesn’t have any special moves or anything of the sort, but that hasn’t stopped fans from being extremely pumped for his release. It definitely helps that Undertale is such a beloved title and also available on the Nintendo Switch.

Perhaps a big part of this is because Terry leaked ahead of time and fans already knew about Banjo. Sans caught everyone by surprise.

Just take a look at some of the reactions fans have been having about him. The majority of them are extremely positive, and that’s putting it modestly. Just imagine if he wasn’t just a simple reskin.

You have to admit, it is cool to see a character such as Sans, an indie character, make his way into Smash Ultimate alongside the likes of characters like Solid Snake, Cloud Strife, and Banjo.

At this point, it’s really hard to think of what Nintendo could come up with next to top this.

In the meantime, the next release is Terry Bogard in November, but no date was offered for his debut as of yet.
