It’s now been one month since the highly anticipated Red Dead Redemption 2 released, and fans are still impatiently waiting for the multiplayer portion to drop with Red Dead Online.
Luckily for them, it appears that the initial promise of the online portion of the game being released by the end of November will be honored, as Rockstar games have now confirmed that the beta will go live on Tuesday, November 27.
Before you get your hopes up, Red Dead Online will only be accessible for players that own the Ultimate Edition of Red Dead 2 to begin with, while Wednesday, November 28, will be opened up for anyone that played the game on day one.
Thursday, November 29 will be available for anyone that played the game within the first three days and, finally, Friday, November 30, will see the online multiplayer open its doors for everyone else.
Rockstar Games have teased Red Dead Online as an ‘evolution’ of multiplayer and classic Red Dead Redemption gameplay, leaving many fans chomping at the bit to get their hands on it.
“The launch of the Red Dead Online Beta is the first step in what will be a continually expanding and dynamic world, and the beta period will allow us to deal with the inevitable turbulence of launching any online experience of this size and scale,” the developers stated in their announcement.

Some players were beginning to get nervous that the beta had been delayed due to a lack of information, so the announcement from Rockstar is sure to be a welcome one/
Cyber Monday on November 26 marks 31 days since Red Dead Redemption 2’s worldwide launch, so it is somewhat fitting that Rockstar chose to release the information on this date.
Fans will want the best experience possible despite the word ‘beta’ being attached, as many players consider it to be the full launch regardless.
Rockstar knows that the future salience and relevancy of Red Dead for the next five plus years relies on Red Dead Online living up to expectations, and those expectations are very high indeed.
