For those who were obsessed with the premiere season of The Golden Bachelor, there’s some good news.
The Golden Bachelor Season 1 has now come and gone and it has proven to be a successful reality TV concept thus far.
After the death of his former wife, Gerry Turner, who is 72 years old, looked for love again in the Bachelor mansion with 22 women. This is the first time in Bachelor history that the entire cast (excluding host Jesse Palmer) was over the age of 50.
In the end, he decided to get engaged with contestant Theresa Nist in the finale episode, ultimately saying goodbye to runner-up Leslie Fhima.
Despite one of Gerry’s ex-girlfriends bringing a lot of allegations against him, the happy couple got married in a television wedding special.
Since the premiere season looks to have been a great start, fans are hoping that it wasn’t just a one-and-done. And good news: it doesn’t look that way.

Is there going to be a Golden Bachelor Season 2?
On December 7, Life & Style broke the news that the series is officially set to return for a second season.
While ABC hasn’t officially confirmed the announcement, the outlet claims that an insider source made it clear that a Season 2 has been greenlit.
Only time will tell if the network confirms the news, and if so, who will the next Golden Bachelor be? There’s also the question of whether or not some of the bachelorettes from the premiere season who didn’t win Gerry’s heart will try their luck again with someone new.
As for right now, the next season within the Bachelor franchise that is set to premiere is Season 28, with Season 20’s Joey Graziadei set as the leading man.
