James Kennedy admitted to having a drinking problem on Vanderpump Rules, and his girlfriend Ally Lewber confirmed that he’s now sober and going to therapy.

Throughout James Kennedy’s time on Vanderpump Rules, he has acted out due to being in unhealthy relationships and drinking too much.

James was dating Kristen Doute when he joined the show, but they were constantly fighting and eventually broke up during Season 4.

The following season, James introduced his ex-girlfriend Raquel Leviss to the group, and they ended their engagement at the Vanderpump Rules Season 9 reunion.

Ally says James is the cast member who changed the most

On Instagram, Bravo posted a video of the Vanderpump Rules cast giving each other superlatives to promote Season 11. “Most likely to obsess over the new season of Pump Rules? Us. It all starts in TWO WEEKS!” the caption read.

When asked the question “Who changed the most this season?” Ally answered, “James, he’s in therapy, he’s sober, I’m really proud of him.”

While Ally thinks that her boyfriend James deserved the superlative, Tom Schwartz said Tom Sandoval has changed the most, and both Sandoval and Ariana Madix decided to nominate themselves.

Over the years, James has gone back and forth with his sobriety, but he eventually chose to start drinking again.

James’ breakup with Raquel was difficult because she cheated on him with one of his friends, which wasn’t helpful either.

The Vanderpump Rules star dealt with a lot of stress after “Scandoval,” and it could’ve affected his drinking habits.
