The Traitors star Zack apologizes to viewers for ruining Diane & Ross revenge arc

The Traitors Season 2 star Zack apologized to viewers on X/Twitter for ruining ‘Diane’s revenge arc’ by unknowingly banishing her son.

The Traitors UK Season 2 received positive responses as the premiere episode aired, and afterward, the show continued to gain record-high ratings in viewership.

The game show is an intense psychological thriller with players being ‘murdered’ left and right. However, the one plot twist that had viewers jumping out of their seats was that Diane was revealed to be Ross’ mother.

The bond between the mother and son had the fans rooting for them to win the prize. But unfortunately, Diane’s time on the show was cut short as she was ‘murdered’ by the traitors in episode 7.

The Traitors UK fans were eager for ‘Diane’s revenge arc’

Diane’s elimination buzzed the fans who started to expect that a ‘Diane’s revenge arc’ was in the making. They wanted Ross, who was recruited as a Traitor in episode 9, to avenge his mother’s death by winning the £120,000.

However, Ross proved to be an unsuccessful Traitor and got banished one episode later. Zack was the one orchestrating the banishment, unaware of Ross’ relationship with Diane. He found out as Ross was leaving.

Ross said: “I will just leave you with one little Easter egg before I go. I was actually the son of someone in this game… and that person was Diane.”

Zack apologized to fans on X/Twitter as he felt that he accidentally took away a plotline that even he considered more fun. He wrote, “Sorry I ruined the Diane revenge arc, Twitter. I know you were gagging for it, believe me, I’m just as upset as you are.”

The Traitors UK episodes aired on BBC One at 21:00 GMT every Wednesday after January 3 and are now available to watch on BBC iPlayer, too.
