After sky-high Season 4 ratings, RHOSLC producers are weighing the option of having Monica Garcia return for Season 5.
Monica Garcia’s first year on Real Housewives of Salt Lake City was one for the books, as she was revealed as the “troll” behind a finsta account that spread rumors about the Salt Lake City Housewives.
Though Garcia gained a following who credited her for carrying the season, the turmoil between her and the ladies may be too much to invite her back for another season.
Producers have even weighed in on the subject, saying that Garcia “represents a different kind of person” on the hit BravoTV show.
RHOSLC producer says he’s had thousands of conversations about bringing Monica Garcia back
Real Housewives of Salt Lake City producer Noah Samton opened up with the Hollywood Reporter about what’s next for Garcia.
Saying that from a “rating standpoint,” it would make sense for Garcia to return, Samton was still unsure if bringing her back would even be an option, as the relationship tension at this point between Garcia and the women is “challenging” to get around.
However, Samton admitted to having “7,000 conversations” and will likely have “a few hundred” more with fellow producers about bringing Garcia back.

Samton also touched upon the fact that Garcia brings a different seat to the table, saying, “She’s open and vulnerable and she represents a different kind of person in Salt Lake than we have on the show.
He continued, “She comes from a different background and there’s a lot about her that the audience can relate to in a way that’s different from the other women.”
Monica officially leaves The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City
On January 23, it was announced that Monica is not returning for Season 5 of Salt Lake City, which will begin filming in February 2024.
There has been no update on whether there is going to be a new housewife to replace her, since after all, she was the replacement for Jen Shah. The only star who has addressed Monica’s departure is the one who exposed her in the Season 4 finale, Heather Gay.
“There’s no chance that Monica will be welcome back in my business, near my family, or near my friends,” was what she said to Variety.
As for Garcia, she hasn’t exactly said whether or not she’d return to RHOSLC if given a contract. However, fans have their hopes, saying that Garcia has “helped so many people” with her “authenticity.”
