Love & Translation may be new to reality TV, but it is sure to bring laughs and unpredictability as hopefuls journey towards love.

Love & Translation aired its first episode on TLC on January 21. The reality series follows three American men who try to connect with 12 women from nine different countries.

The only thing is, the men and women don’t speak the same languages, making communication even harder than normal.

Nobody knew there would be a language barrier on Love & Translation

While the contestants of Love & Translation venture to a seaside villa in paradise, they embark on an adventure full of wonder.

Using body language, charades, and noises to describe what they are trying to say to each other, the three men and 12 women have absolutely no translators to help them communicate.

However, during the season’s trailer, the women can be seen communicating with each other, as some of them understand each other’s languages.

The trailer also shows Khalil saying he wished he had a translator, as the language barrier between him and the contestants was causing tension.

Though nobody knew they would be entering the villa not being able to speak the same language as their romantic partner, can love lead the way to genuine connections?

To watch the next episode of Love & Translation, fans can tune into TLC on Sunday, February 4, at 10:00 PM EST.
