Pokemon Sword and Shield is just around the corner but can you name these new species?
We have a whole new generation of Pokemon to look forward to soon as there is expected to be in excess of 100 new ones to try and catch. Including Galarian forms and Gigantamaxed Pokemon, there have been 31 revealed so far.
These have come in various announcements since its initial reveal in February. However, The starter evolutions, the region’s mythical Pokemon and potential Eevee evolutions (it looks there will be) still remain shrouded in mystery.
Here’s a quiz to test your knowledge and get you ready for Pokemon Sword and Shield. It will focus on completely new additions to the Pokedex only, as after all we don’t need to test you on Gigantamax Charizard and co.
If you’ve been following all the Pokemon Sword and Shield news then the quiz should be pretty comfortable for you. A score of 20 out of 20 and you’ll be more than prepared to take on what could be Pokemon’s biggest game to date.

If you’ve been following the build up to Pokemon Sword and Shield, you should have had little problem naming most of these. A score of 15 or less and you might need to do some more research on the Galar region.
Pokemon Sword and Shield will release on November 15 but no doubt we’ll get a few more species revealed before then.
