PUBG’s console exclusivity on the Xbox will be coming to an end soon, as a PS4 launch is now expected in December, according to reports, but no exact release date has been given.
Initially a PC only game, PUBG is now also available on mobile and Xbox One, as players of rival console PS4 were left in the dark.
But, PUBG Corp.’s reluctancy to rule out a PlayStation release, plus numerous other hints – including PS4 consoles being spotted at Bluehole studios – indicated that Xbox’s exclusivity would not be long lived.
PS4 players will be getting their hands on PUBG sooner than expected however, as soon as December 2018.
A user on PS4Profiles, on online forum, provided images and Content ID codes apparently found on the PS4 game database.

It’s confirmed that PUBG is coming to PS4. it’s in my PS4 Game Database. Don’t know when it’s coming out, but it’s already on Sony servers, hosting the game image and Content-ID for the psn store.
Video game analyst Daniel Ahmad on forum ResetEra said that indeed it will be released next month on PS4, in response to the initial post.
Also provided were content ID codes, for both North America and European PS stores. Typically games are not assigned these codes until release is imminent.
Further, EuroGamer also claims that they have been informed of the same, stating that indeed PUBG will be released in December on PS4.
A December release would also line up neatly with one year exclusivity for Xbox, as PUBG first launched on Microsoft’s console on December 12, 2017.
