Pokemon Go June Community Day live today – Slakoth headlines

Slakoth, the sloth-like Pokemon, will headline the Pokemon Go June Community Day. Surprisingly, Slaking’s exclusive move has been supposedly leaked ahead of time.

Slaking the Pokemon Go gym defender

Slakoth eventually evolves into the powerful Slaking after Vigoroth. Despite being considered a lazy Pokemon it provides an excellent asset in terms of the Pokemon Go meta.

Slakoth has the fifth best base attack stats on the game and the tenth best stamina. While its attack stats make for impressive reading on paper, its quick move of yawn means it is solely reliant on its charge moves to deal damage.

Therefore, from an attack perspective it is far less effective than it seems. However, its stamina stats do make it one of the best Pokemon Go gym defenders.

Bonuses

The most predictable part of the Pokemon Go June Community Day will be the bonus of three-hour lures. These are an ever-present in community days.

The more notable bonus is the inclusion of 1/4 egg hatching distance. This bonus was last seen in the Treecko community day back in March. Egg hatching discounts are a particular favorite of Pokemon Go trainers as they allow players to hatch numerous eggs and garner plenty of candy during the three hour window.

Date and time

The Pokemon Go June Community Day had already been announced to take place on June 8. Similar to the last couple of community days the event will take place from 3pm to 6pm local time.

Exclusive move

Slakoth has been announced as the headlining Pokemon, but its exclusive move has yet to be revealed. This is consistent with previous Pokemon Go community days whereby it is announced closer to the day itself.

Update: According to Serebii the official Taiwanese Pokemon Go Twitter account accidentally leaked Slaking’s exclusive move. Its exclusive move when you evolve Vigoroth during or one hour after the community day will be body slam. Whether this is proven correct or not will be revealed when it is announced officially.

Pokemon FandomRalts was considered the favorite by many to be this month’s headliner…

Where is Ralts?

Many trainers were expecting Ralts to be the headlining Pokemon. However, Pokemon Go players will likely be happy with Slakoth because of its usefulness in gyms.

Consequently, Ralts will now be the favorite to headline the August Community Day.
