Some of these Pokemon are dual types, such as the Ice/Steel-type Alolan Sandshrew, which means you’ll need to pay attention to both types when figuring out how to take them down.

We’ve put together a list of some of the best counters for this Grunt’s Pokemon below.

Steel-type Pokemon are weak to Ground, Fire, and Fighting-type moves, making these the best options for this fight.

There are a couple of exceptions thanks to dual typing, though. Ground-type moves won’t be super effective against Skarmory, Ferroseed, and Scizor; Larion and Empoleon aren’t weak to Fire-type moves; and Fighting-type moves won’t be exceptionally helpful against Metang and Scizor.

For this reason, having at least one Fire-type is essential, as it targets Scizor’s only weakness and will also help against most of this Grunt’s potential Pokemon. You’ll also want a Ground and/or Fighting-type to cover the rest of the Grunt’s weaknesses.

Make sure your Pokemon have moves of the same type, and you should have no trouble winning.
