Pokemon Go Snapshot | When is it coming to iOS? On Android now!

The Pokemon Go news doesn’t stop coming! Among numerous special events, Niantic have announced a brand new feature coming to Pokemon Go – GO Snapshot!

Introducing Pokemon Go Snapshot! This is a brand new mode where you can take photo-shoot quality photos of your beloved Pokemon.

Niantic state that the inspiration of the new mode comes from the plethora of photos taken with the AR+ feature. Pokemon and reality are getting increasingly closer to each other!

How Does Snapshot Work?

The new feature can be utilized by navigating to either a specific Pokemon in your storage or accessing the camera through the bag.

With the camera on you can throw your chosen Pokemon’s poke ball to where you want to take the pictures. Whether you want a Pikachu on top of a car or a Mewtwo in your bed, the options are endless!

Furthermore, once your Pokemon is in the desired location, you can move around it in order to get that perfect angle. An additional feature is the ability to get the Pokemon to look towards you also.

The official Pokemon Go Twitter page have since confirmed more minor features about the new upcoming feature. AR photos taken in a single session can be reviewed without exiting Pokemon Go.

Easy to Share on Social Media

Once you’ve finished with the photo-shoot, you can take as many photos as you want by the way, they are easy to share on Social Media.

Not only are the photos saved to your device automatically but if your social accounts are linked (Facebook, Twitter, etc) then you can share them there with just a couple of clicks.

Snapshot Release Date

Pokemon Go Snapshot is live now! Currently, only for level 5+ trainers on Android devices. Snapshot will become available for iOS over the next 24 hours. That’s before 17:00 PST, February 24.

Usually big releases such as this are rolled out to varying levels of trainer and not by device type.
