Scyther’s Hisuian evolution is returning as a Raid Boss during Pokemon Go’s Bug Out event. Here are its weaknesses and best counters in case you want to challenge this dual Bug/Rock beast.

Pokemon Legends Arceus introduced loads of Hisuian regional variants to the Pokedex as well as some brand-new evolutions. One of these is Kleavor, a powerful Bug/Rock-type evolution for Kanto’s Scyther.

Kleavor debuted in Pokemon Go almost a year ago, and now it will be back as a 3-Star Raid Boss for the Bug Out event that will take place from Friday, April 12, 2024, at 10:00 AM until Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at 8:00 PM local time.

Kleavor weaknesses in Pokemon Go

Kleavor is a Bug/Rock-type Pokemon which means it’s weak against Rock, Steel, and Water-type attacks, so try only to use those during the encounter.

On the other hand, it’s resistant against Normal and Poison attacks, so you’ll want to avoid those types of moves wherever possible.

How to get Kleavor in Pokemon Go

Previously, players were able to get Kleavor as a reward for completing the “Win 3 raids: Pokemon Go Tour Sinnoh – Global”.

Now, the only way to get Kleavor is to first defeat it in a 3-Star Raid Battle. Once you’ve done that, you’ll be given a limited amount of Premier Balls to try and catch it. You can use Silver Pinap Berries and land Excellent Curveball Throws to increase your chances of success.

Players will have plenty of opportunities to capture this particular Pokemon during the Bug Out event from April 12, 2024, until April 17, 2024.

It’s worth pointing out that Kleavor cannot be evolved from Scyther, despite that being the case in Pokemon Legends Arceus where it first appeared.

Can Kleavor be Shiny in Pokemon Go?

Yes, players will be able to find Shiny Kleavor in Pokemon Go during the event, as it debuted in the game along with its regular version back in 2023.

Shiny Kleavor has a forest green hue instead of its usual caramel color. You can see what they both look like in the image above, so you know what to keep an eye out for.

It’s worth noting that the chances of encountering one are quite low, so it’s simply a case of taking part in as many Raid Battles as possible during the event.
