It’s time to start planning your trips, Pokemon trainers, as Niantic has officially revealed the dates and times for the Pokemon Go Fest 2024 celebrations.
Taking part in several locations worldwide, the Pokemon Go Fest 2024 event is a chance for players worldwide to travel, play together, and share an unforgettable experience while catching some Shiny new ‘mons.

Pokemon Go Fest 2024 locations and dates
Niantic has confirmed that the schedule for Pokemon Go Fest 2024 in-person events is as follows:
- July 13 – 14, 2024; Worldwide
Pokemon Go Fest 2024 Global Dawn Wings & Dusk Mane Necrozma
Dusk Mane and Dawn Wings Necrozma will be debuting as part of Pokemon Go Fest 2024, with the Necrozma forms available for ticket holders to battle in 5-Star Pokemon GO raids during the Global event.
Trainers need to battle Dusk Mane or Dawn Wings Necrozma and defeat it to earn an encounter with base Necrozma. Then, they’ll need to collect Fusion energy to combine Solgaleo or Lunala with Necrozma and utilize the powerful new forms.

There are tons of Pokemon you can encounter during the 2024 Go Fest Global event, and each will be part of a different habitat, which will rotate hourly during both day one and day two of the event.

Necrozma debut in Pokemon Go
To celebrate the solar eclipse, the mobile game posted a video to announce the debut of the Legendary Necrozma during Pokemon Go Fest 2024. You can check it out below:
The Pokemon Company has also confirmed that Necrozma will be making its Pokemon Go debut during Pokemon Go Fest 2024, appearing in raids at each location, and then during Pokemon Go Fest Global later in the year.
Will there be new bonuses at Pokemon Go Fest 2024?
If you head into Pokemon Go during the event, you’ll qualify for some exciting bonuses to help make your adventure a little more fruitful.
The Pokemon Go Fest 2024 Global event bonuses are:
- One-hour Lure Module duration.
- Field Research themed around the different Pokemon habitats.
- Surprise encounters in GO Snapshot.
- If you walk Routes during Pokémon GO Fest Global, Ducklett, Emolga and Crabrawler will spawn more frequently.
When playing in a Party, the following bonuses will be included:
- Encounters to unlock Pikachu in a Sun Tiara and Pikachu in a Moon Tiara
If you’re lucky enough to have a Ticket to the event, you will get these bonuses:
- Increased chance of encountering Shiny Pokemon.
- Up to six Special Trades to be made each day.
- Habitat-themed Collection Challenges.
- 9 free Raid Passes from spinning Photo Discs at Gyms.
- Special 7km Eggs.
- A Special Research to encounter Marshadow.
