Not every Pokemon made the cut in Sword and Shield, but Zigzagoon was able to make the cut, and it even has a third evolved form in this installment called Obstagoon.
Zigzagoon and its evolved form Linoone were first introduced back in Generation 3 with Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. It was one of the first Pokemon players came across, similar to a Ratata from Generation 1, so it was worth catching but usually didn’t find much room in your party.
This has all changed in Pokemon Sword and Shield as Zigzagoon added a second evolved form for its Galarian version, which makes it a much more worthy Pokemon of a roster spot.
If you’re interested in getting your hands on an Obstagoon, you can do so in two different ways.

How to get Obstagoon
The easiest way to get one would be to evolve a Galarian Zigzagoon into a Linoone and then evolving that into Obstagoon. Zigzagoon evolves into Linoone at level 20 and then that Linoone will evolve at level 35, but only at night.
If you level past 35 during the day, Linoone will not evolve, but will instead happen on the next level up, provided it’s at night. With the EXP Share affecting every Pokemon in your party, it won’t take too long to level it up as you’re progressing through the game.
The alternative way to get Obstagoon would be to catch one in the wild. Given this is the third evolved form, you’re not going to find one near the beginning of the game, but instead, it can be located near the end.

Like other rare Pokemon, Togepi, for example, Obstagoon can be found at the Bridge Field, according to Seribii.net. This location is home to many rare Pokemon that you’ll want if you have plans of filling out your Pokedex.
A wild Obstagoon will be found at level 65, so it’s a force to be reckoned with as soon as you catch it.
The Pokedex in Sword and Shield is much smaller than the National Dex, but players will still have to put a lot of work in to fill it out completely.
Whether it’s through evolution or catching one in the wild, now you know what it takes to add an Obstagoon to your collection.
