However, in Pokemon Go, things are a bit different. Here’s a breakdown of how to find Feebas, plus how to evolve one and whether a Shiny version of it can be found.

How to get Feebas in Pokemon Go

Feebas has been part of Pokemon Go for a very long time and players have been able to find it through different methods. However, the only way to currently get Feebas in the game is as a wild encounter.

Luckily for trainers, Feebas will have its spawn rates increased during the Spelunker’s Cove event that will run from June 15, 2024, until June 18, 2024.

Previously, players could hatch Feebas from 2 km, 5 km, 7 km, and 10 km Eggs, and find it as a Tier 1 Raid boss. It was even rewarded for completing Field Research Tasks like “Trade a Pokemon 2021” or Special/Timed Research Tasks such as “Along the Routes – 1st part: Explore 5 km”.

Can Feebas be Shiny in Pokemon Go?

Yes, Feebas can be Shiny in Pokemon Go, as this variation was released into the game at the start of the Feebas Limited Research in 2019.

Shiny Feebas can be easily spotted, as its whole body turns purple and its fins go from blue to gray. It’s worth noting that having a Shiny Feebas means players can evolve it in order to get a Shiny Milotic.

However, finding a Shiny variation in the game is tough, and there’s no method or special item to guarantee an encounter. All you can do is challenge as many Feebas as you can until you find what you’re looking for.

How to evolve Feebas into Milotic in Pokemon Go

As a two-member family, the evolution process for Feebas is quite straightforward, as there’s only one step. However, it does require a little bit of work.

To evolve Feebas into Milotic you must feed it 100 Candy and walk 20 km with it as your Buddy to be able to trigger it.

Gathering 100 Candy is a hard task, but trainers can take advantage of Feebas’ increased spawn rates during the event to do so. Plus, they can use Pinap Berries to duplicate the Candy per catch and also send their extra Feebas to Professor Willow in exchange for more of this valuable consumable.
