Here’s a breakdown of the best moveset for Whiscash in Pokemon Go, a creature well-known for its power in the console games.

The third generation of Pokemon introduced a Pokemon that could be considered a rival to Quagsire, Whiscash. Both are Water/Ground-types and both do have good HP in the mainline console games.

But while both are solid Pokemon to use in said consoles games, what about Pokemon Go?

Whiscash’s best moveset in Pokemon Go

The best moveset for Whiscash in Pokemon Go is to go with Mud Shot as a Fast Move and Mud Bomb and Scald as Charged Moves.

It’s a bit of a toss-up between Mud Shot and Water Gun, as far as the two Fast Moves are concerned. Both give a STAB bonus and Water Gun is a powerful move. On the other hand, Water Gun has just a 6.0 EPS, compared to Mud Shot’s 9.0 EPS.

As for the Charged Moves, Scald is a must. It does a fair amount of damage and Mud Bomb works as a second Charged Move with its STAB bonus.

Shadow Whiscash ranks #16 in PvPoke‘s Great League rankings as of January 2023, while the regular version sat at #25.

Whiscash does get a bit overpowered in the Ultra League. Still, the Water/Ground-type holds up well, as XL Whischas ranks just outside the top 100 in that format, at #102.
