Best moveset for PvP
The best moveset for Mega Houndoom in PvP is Snarl as the Fast Move and Crunch as the Charged Move.
Out of the two Fast Moves Mega Houndoom has, Snarl is a significantly better option thanks to its fast charge that allows you to reach the Charges Moves sooner. Plus, it’ll deal more damage thanks to the same attack type bonus.
Between the four Charged Moves, Crunch and Flamethrower are the options that stand out due to their energy cost and damage balance. However, Crunch works better with Snarl and has a 30% chance of decreasing the opponent’s Defense stat.
If you can afford a secondary Charged Move, go with Flamethrower, as it is a powerful nuke that will expand the Pokemon’s coverage.

Best moveset for Raids
In raids, the best moveset you can teach Mega Houndoom consists of Snarl as a Fast Move and Foul Play as a Charged Move.
Snarl remains the best choice for a Fast Move as it has better EPS than Fire Fang. More so, in Raid battles, it is almost always better to go for a same type moveset, so focus on your Dark attacks.
Between Crunch and Foul Play, even though the latter is a little bit more expensive, it works way better paired with Snarl and is much faster.
