If you’re a fan of tough Pokemon, here’s an overview of the best movesets for Aggron in Pokemon Go, including the ones for its Mega Evolution, Mega Aggron, as it’s coming back to the game for a limited time.

Aggron is the third stage of the tiny Steel/Rock-type Aron family line introduced in the Hoenn region. However, when it Mega Evolves it loses its dual typing, leaving Mega Aggron as a single Steel-type Pokemon, changing its meta.

Now that Mega Aggron is coming back to Pokemon Go Mega Raid battles from April 25, 2024, until May 2, 2024, and players will have plenty of chances to get one – as well as regular Aggron – here are their best movesets to use in both PvP and Raids.

These gigantic creatures have a total of three Fast Moves and seven Charged Moves in the game, leaving players with a good move pool to choose from.

The best moveset players can choose for Aggron in PvP is Dragon Tail as a Fast Move and Meteor Beam as a Charged Move.

Dragon Tail might not benefit from STAB, but it amplifies Aggron’s Steel/Rock coverage while dealing a decent amount of damage for a bit more energy than the other Fast Moves.

As for the Charged Move, Meteor Beam is this Pokemon’s ultimate move thanks to its outstanding damage for a fair amount of energy.

If players can afford a second Charged Move, they can pair this combo with Stone Edge for an extra nuke or Heavy Slam for a cheaper move with still some damage.

Pokemon Go Aggron best Raid moveset

Pokemon Go players looking to dominate Raids should equip Aggron with Smack Down as its Fast Move and Meteor Beam as its Charged Move.

Out of all the Fast Moves, Smack Down deals the most damage for a pretty fair amount of energy. Plus, it gets the coveted STAB bonus and works nicely when paired with Meteor Beam.

Like Smack Down, Meteor Beam is a Rock-type move that Aggron can get a STAB bonus off of. It also happens to be its strongest move, dealing way more damage than Stone Edge for the same energy.

Mega Aggron’s best moveset for PvP consists of Iron Tail as a Fast Move and Meteor Beam as a Charged Move.

Iron Tail is the cheapest Fast Move Mega Aggron has, and it’s the only one that benefits from STAB, so it’s an easy pick.

Despite not having STAB, as mentioned with Aggron, Meteor Beam is the ultimate Charged Move for this creature. It has 140 damage for 100 energy, duplicating Rock Tomb and outpowering Stone Edge.

If you want a second Charged Move, you can go with Heavy Slam for a cheap move with STAB.

Pokemon Go Mega Aggron best Raid moveset

The best moveset players can pick for Mega Aggron in Raid battles is Iron Tail as a Fast Move and Heavy Slam as a Charged Move.
