Hi-Rez Studios has announced that Paladins: Champions of the Realm will be officially released on May 8th, 2018.
Paladins has been in early access since September 2016, during which time it attracted over 20 million players. The official launch date of the full game for PC, PS4, and Xbox One has now been announced for the very near future.
To celebrate the launch, Hi-Rez has announced an esports tournament at the Esports Arena Las Vegas, a variety of in-game and community activities, and that they would be giving away up to a massive $100 million in in-game currency.
Anyone who has played Paladins during its beta phase, prior to the release on May 8th, will receive 200 Crystals for free if they log in between May 8th and May 31st. All Champions will be unlocked from May 2nd to May 7th.

Chris Larson, Executive Producer on Paladins, said of the launch:
“We are so excited for the official release of Paladins. We really want to thank all of our dedicated Beta players for the time and effort they have put into helping Paladins grow. This Launch Celebration is about our players – only with their feedback were we able to make Paladins the amazing game it is today, with drastically improved UI, console aiming, presentation, and gameplay.”
The Paladins launch tournament – Esports Superstars: Paladins – will take place at the Esports Arena Las Vegas on May 5th-6th. Six of the world’s best Paladins teams will compete for a prize pool of $100,000.
In addition, Hi-Rez has released Paladins Strike, a mobile shooter set in the Paladins universe. Playing the game will unlock two free skins in Paladins: Champions of the Realm.
