Top Twitch streamer and former professional Overwatch player Felix ‘xQc‘ Lengyel has slammed competitive Overwatch as “unplayable”, the game as “unstreamable” and “unwatchable”.
xQc, formerly of Overwatch League team Dallas Fuel, retired from competitive play after he was released from the team in early 2018, and turned to full-time streaming instead.
Although he continued to stream Overwatch primarily, he soon switched to other games, following a number of bans on his account, and is better known as a variety streamer now.
He hasn’t completely given up on Overwatch, however, having represented Canada in the world cup, and represents LA Gladiator’s ‘Legion’ team in contenders, but it doesn’t appear that he is totally convinced by the esport and its future.
On September 1, xQc labeled Overwatch as “competitively unplayable”, although didn’t clarify further his reasons for this.
Continuing, Lengyel stated, “the visuals are so overwhelming it’s unstreamable and the barriers make the stream quality unwatchable. Can we fix this?”

In a follow-up post, xQc apologized to fans for “not doing better Overwatch streams”, and said that he hasn’t forgotten about those fans.
He finished his message by saying it’s “difficult to get the juice in-game now”, indicating his passion for it could be dwindling.

xQc’s fanbase doesn’t particularly rely on his Overwatch fame now, as he is one of the biggest streamers on Twitch who can attract upwards of 10,000 viewers regardless of what game he is playing.

However, he still has a soft spot for his former game and is clearly passionate and hopeful that it can bring back the magic he used to enjoy about it.
