Blizzard has unveiled “Demon Hunter Sombra”, a new Legendary Overwatch skin that will be available to BlizzCon attendees and players who purchase the BlizzCon Virtual Ticket.
Sombra is the third hero to receive a new skin for BlizzCon, with Bastion and Winston getting skins in previous years. While both of those heroes got a blue BlizzCon-themed skin, this year’s BlizzCon skin is a departure from that trend, inspired instead by the Demon Hunters of Blizzard’s Diablo series.

BlizzCon is Blizzard’s annual convention, where they reveal upcoming content for their titles, host panels discussing a variety of topics and answering fan questions, and host competitions that vary between cosplay contests and StarCraft tournaments.
With Blizzard having long been a titan of the gaming industry, the BlizzCon is one of the biggest conventions in the calendar. Blizzard’s portfolio of games may be relatively small, but each is one of if not the most popular and successful in its respective genre.

As well as the live-event aspects of BlizzCon, Blizzard typically offer exclusive loot for their games to attendees and Virtual Ticket holders. For most Overwatch fans hoping to get their hands on the new Demon Hunter Sombra skin, the latter is likely to be the only viable option, with Virtual Tickets available for £34.99.
The new skin is the only selling point for the Virtual Ticket, of course. Ticket-holders will also gain access to streams of the ‘Mythic, Legendary, and Epic stages’ and an original BlizzCon video series, both which will only be available online with the Virtual Ticket.
As well as the new Sombra skin, ticket-holders will also receive as-yet-unspecified in-game loot for World of Warcraft, StarCraft II, StarCraft: Remastered, Heroes of the Storm, Hearthstone, and Diablo III.
Full details for the Vitual Ticket can be found on the BlizzCon website. Overwatch Players who buy the Virtual Ticket will be able to unlock Demon Hunter Sombra immediately.
