An Overwatch player and Lucio aficionado has shared a new video of a rollout that the opposing team will never see coming on Lijiang Tower.
Lucio’s wallride ability allows him to skate along the wall and move quicker than most other heroes, especially when his speed song is active.
It also lets him roll out and engage the enemy team – potentially before anyone else, which is especially useful on maps with the possibility for environmental kills.
A rollout they’ll never see coming
Reddit user “Dani211e“ was the first player to post the video of the rollout, which involves going underneath the point to reach the opposite bridge.
The trick, besides speed-boosting at the start, seems to be jumping right off the round doorway past the rock and onto the wall below the point, before hopping up on the enemy bridge.
Unless you want to be reported by your team for throwing after trying and failing to do this five times in a row, a lot of practice would be needed to pull this off when it counts.
You’ll also want to carve out a good chunk of time for practice as well, since Dani211e said it took them between 1,000 – 1,200 attempts to get the final clip of the route.

It’s been a good week for crazy Lucio rollouts, with another Reddit user “Puffis_Senpai “showing off their own take on Lijiang Tower.
Instead of going underneath the map, Puffis turns around and rides completely backward, somehow ending up inside of the control point.
Like the underneath rollout, this one would take a ton of practice to pull off, as well – but it would be interesting to see which one can be done in fewer tries.
Lucio doesn’t have any updates in the current PTR patch that should be going live soon, but there’s always the chance he’ll get something in the upcoming Winter Wonderland event.
Winter Wonderland usually starts in early December, but we haven’t heard anything official about the event so far this year.
